Tip for new customers: If you're brand new to these round loaders (as am I), I found them to be a bit tight from the factory, and had trouble loading my revolver the very first time I tried to use this (it was very difficult to push the rounds into the cylinder). I remedied this by simply loading and unloading the round loader (just onto my desk, not into my revolver: _safety first)_ ten times in a row. This seemed to help loosen those tight factory tolerances and made reloading my revolver much easier after I "broke in" the round loader.

The Mormon SCAR...Absolutely awesome weapons platform. A hybrid of the AR, AK, and the FAL. It took the best features of each. I've got 3 in my collection. A 18 inch XCR-M, a 16 inch XCR-L and a 12 inch XCR-L. Thinking about getting a 14.7 barrel conversion to 762x39 next. So Versatile, Clean, and smooth shooting! It deserves way more recognition than it gets. Bravo Robarms!

Great weapons. I own 3. 2 XCR-L’s and an XCR-M. I’ve shot 3-gun with the XCR-L with no issues. Completely modular multi-caliber platform. I have several of the caliber conversion kits.

Trigger is not AR and neither is the safety. The only thing it takes from the AR is grip and magazines.

I think the adjustable gas block is more of a FAL feature. The main AK features are the long stroke gas piston system and the bolt.

I've known about the XCR for many years, but this is the first time I've seen a good review of one, I feel like. Looks like a really cool rifle. I think I remembered reading they were a little heavy, but a very cool design nonetheless. Kind of surprised the military passed on it-- always seemed like a better option than the SCAR. Maybe they were worried about volume production? I gotta do the whole Forgotten Weapons history dive :D

Yes, they totally got rail roaded by a technically and then a mega corp stole the contract. It is lighter than most AR’s.

@@scottkiefner84 Super interesting. I've been trying really hard not to buy a new rifle (strong odds I'm moving soon to a country where semi-autos are sadly not legal), but these are super tempting. I bet you could make a strong case for the heavy version perhaps being the most practical modern .308 fighting rifle you could buy-- it seems to tick all the boxes for features you'd want.

Great video! Thanks! I recently acquired the competition length in 556. Came in burnt bronze. A beauty and such a solid build. The ejection of the brass though is almost lethal lmao sending lead down range and sending brass to my buddy who’s 10ft away to my right 😂

I didn't realize that Robinson was still in business. I gave up on them a long time ago after they discontinued the M96.

Instead of the speed strip, they don't last long and start deteriorating in about 3 years, but you can get a 380 10 or 12 round magazines or other 380 acp like Ruger or Taurus pistol etc, and load from A Magazine and carry more back up ammo 🤔
