I know this series is over now but I'm slowly getting through it. I did want to say that yes it is possible the big key is in the big chest. It isn't completely unusual and you'll never get locked that way either.

The enemy behaviors have not been altered in any way in this game. The game uses the original code. There may be a bug here or there but the behavior of enemies is the same as the NES.

It is cute when video game social media people are like pseudo-reviewing the game as they're playing it without knowing if what they're saying has any validity adds a lot to the quality of the commentary.

It is a bit silly that we missed the hole the first time, but usually Edgeworth has Gumshoe to do all the crawling around in the ground for him. I can buy that without Gumshoe there, Edgeworth would just ignore anything that would require him to kneel if he didn’t have to.

In the fan translation, it felt like they were building up Kanis to be a returning character even more. I was really expecting von Karma, though it’s implied in Justice for All that he was executed. Bodhidharma is the name of an actual Buddhist monk credited as the origin of Shaolin Kung Fu (though that has been debunked), and I think an additional layer is that it sounds similar to Body harmer. And Kanis refers to canine. And Helmut is a German name meaning Fighting spirit, and also sounds like Hell Mutt. I really like these names. It really seems that Capcom’s localization team really put some thought into them.

Return of the Happy Mask salesm- I mean Frank Sahwit. It has certainly been a while. Another very unexpected cameo. His testimony here contains a direct reference to the first testimony in AA1, which was “And then, I saw her lying there… A woman… not moving… dead! I quailed in fright and found myself unable to go inside.”

It’s nice to see Edgeworth’s development from Investigations 1put in play. A major conflict for him was the law getting in the way of the truth, and deciding that discovering the truth is more important than obeying the letter of the law. It makes me wonder how pre-Investigations 1 Edgeworth would have handled things.

21:50 Just a side note, Saint's name is Simeon (Sim-ee-an), not Simon. It's a bit of a strange name so I understand how you could've mixed it up. Funnily enough though, Simon WAS his name in the fan translation (Simon Keyes).

The victim being a previous culprit is certainly an interesting way to start the case. Also, one of the creepier case intros in the series.

Definitely one of the best tutorial cases in the series, and Knight is definitely one of the smartest first culprits.

I used float, grinded to level 12 around crescent lake town. Then went and got the floater, then castle ordeals but had to go get the crown. Let my time mage die and accidentally saved after completing the castle. Now am soft locked
