Yes. 3H quick clicks from off. Hold that 3rd click. Then 2 quick clicks to cycle through the different types of strobing.

I'm not sure about sc13 but type-c to type-c cable can actually discharge your flashlight when you're using power bank. I've had this issue with my LT1s.

If you have a USB tester device you can check the voltage and current that's passing through the powerbank. I have a tester, but it's for the standard USB-A port. I have not seen one that can plug into a USB-C outlet though. I don't charge my flashlights via their USB-C ports as I prefer to remove the batteries and charge them with my external battery chargers. I will only charge them internally if it's the only means of charging. In my experience with these flimsy USB-C rubber flaps, it's that they're not durable and won't last long if they're opened and closed frequently. Some flaps, like the one on my Wurrkos TS22 can easily be dislodged, compromising its water resistance. The other issue is heat. The act of charging a battery inside the flashlight tube already generates heat and you can't even ventilate the battery. On a related note, I almost fried my first Wurrkos flashlight, a TS22. I didn't have a 21700 battery at the time and used a cheap 18650 battery that came with a radio. After a few minutes my TS22 started to flicker and I didn't understand what was happening. It was only when the TS22's tube got extremely hot, I quickly turned it off and removed the battery. I was shocked that the 18650 cell was the source of the heat and not the Cree XHP70B LED! I figured out that the cheap 18650 couldn't handle the high current the TS22 was asking for, so it quickly overheated. Lesson well learned: never skimp on batteries when it comes to high lumen flashlights. 😐🔋🔦

Thanks for this very informative episode! My TS10 Max also runs hot on Turbo very quickly and so does my Sofirn SC32. Very short tube lights like these lack the mass to dissipate the excess heat and the TS10 Max' smooth tube, devoid of cooling fins isn't exactly helping to radiate heat into the atmosphere. The new Wurkkos protected 18650 cell, despite its extra length may not absorb and dissipate heat any better than the standard button top lithium ion cell. I do wonder if its protection circuit can handle the heat from the three Nichia LEDs though. 🤔 I'm glad to have ordered the TS10 Max as soon as I could as the Wurrkos direct store ran out of these lights, even the package with the protected cell. The TS10 V2, in my opinion is more of a hobbyist/collector's flashlight. If it used the 18650 format battery I would have bought one ages ago, even though it has Anduril 2. BTW, have you noticed that the TS10 Max' voltage indication mode seems to be over optimistic? Mine appears to indicate 4.3 volts for a long time, which is not possible as lithium ion chargers automatically limit the maximum voltage to 4.2 volts. My other Anduril flashlights indicate the battery voltage as 4.1 volts, tops. Note to self: I really gotta get one of those infrared thermometer guns. It's the most practical means of measuring my flashlights' temps. 😊

I have tested the voltage of the Wurkkos USB-C rechargeable cell outside the Max. It is always lower voltage with a multimeter. I also doubt the in flashlight accuracy.

@@TorchTheNight If I had to take a wild guess, Wurkkos was rushed into producing the TS10 Max and they didn't have time to test its voltage calibration properly. They probably wanted the TS10 Max to be ready in time for Halloween. 🎃🔦

Bear in mind the emissivity of anodised aluminium is around 0.85 so you'd need to adjust your temperature readings a bit.

I highly recommend Manker E03H II, NOT MANKER E03 H III, it has moonlights 0,1, 0,2, 0,3, 0,5, 1 and 15 lumens with 1,2 and 1,5 v battery. You need this flashlight. It has red, green and whitr pĺastic filters and also works with 0,6-0,8v allready used batteries and 3,7v 14500. I bought it for 20$ in april 24 without battery

Thanks for this interesting disassembly video! I bought two flashlights just like this one over a year ago, and they turned out to be just simple flooders although the ads deceptively sold them as throwers. 🔦😐 They were cheap and I knew these were meant to be disposable. I had expected to see a generic 18650 inside this light and found it interesting that the manufacturer went even cheaper by using a lower capacity, 14500 lithium ion. I'm not surprised if these batteries are substandard or even recycled ones that were bought in bulk. It probably cost the factory a few cents per cell. In my experience with this kind of flashlights, they usually fail prematurely on account of their batteries, long before their driver electronics or LEDs reach the end of their lives. The downside of disposable flashlights is that they contribute to e-waste and I'm sure many of them have to be replaced because their cheap batteries went bad, much earlier than the flashlights' potential lifespan. The only reason people would buy something like this is because they are so cheap that it wouldn't hurt so much if they were borrowed and not returned, lost or stolen. 😀 Working with lithium ion batteries carry a certain amount of risk to the uninitiated. I think one of the reasons the manufacturer makes flashlights like this one a sealed unit (that also goes for USB rechargeable personal fans) is that they want to discourage the average user from trying to replace the factory welded or soldered lithium ion cell for their personal safety. I also had a Shustar zoomable LED torch with a side COB light that came with a removable 26650 cell. I gave it away after I started collecting "real" flashlights. That was intensely bright from the candela POV but fell short when it came to lumens. It was advertised as having a "P70 wick" and someone had told me that it was a Chinese copy of the domed Cree XHP 70.2 emitter. That Shustar felt beefy in my hands and could be used to whack someone senseless with its weight. 😀

Hi there, I just subbed to your channel when I saw your review of the TS10 Max! 🙂 I received my TS10 Max last week, had to order one with the new protected circuit 18650 cell from Wurkkos direct, as buyers mostly went for the option _without_ the battery. I like Anduril flashlights but never gave the TS10 series a second look as I only buy 18650 or 21700 format lights. When the Max was announced and I learned that it takes the 18650 battery, I wasted no time in ordering one. 😀 Compared to my IF25A and TS25 with quad emitters, the TS10 Max's beam has a slightly wider angle and it floods more than it throws. This makes the TS10 Max a wonderful reading light, for close up work and its high CRI Nichia 519A LEDs make this torch useful for creative photography. It's even shorter than my shortest flashlight, the Sofirn SC32. There's something new about the TS10 Max - its auxiliary LEDs light up momentarily after turning off the main light. This was a surprise for me as my other Anduril flashlights will just turn off immediately. I also noted that this light indicates 4.3 volts using the built-in battery check feature and not only that, the TS10 Max's secondary LEDs are the ones that flash, instead of the primary LEDs. I'm guessing that either the Anduril firmware is a recent release or Wurkkos customized the TS10 Max. Wurkkos hasn't released that many new Anduril models for 2024 and the TS10 Max is a well received newcomer! 🔦❤
