my dad is going through this and i fully agree that it is 100000% times worse than Parkinsons. he was diagnosed 2 days ago. he can no longer walk alone (will 100% fall if he does), has swallowing issues, struggles to sleep through the night, spits out a lot of phlegm every time he eats, can not go to the bathroom alone, can not shower alone, and barely talks.

I did not let a cardiologist say "i dont know why.". She didn't even seem to care. I went to a heart specialist. Microvasculature Angina. This has been going on for 3 years! Hopefully someday when patients are short of breath, have pain their jaw or arm (tends to be left arm only) upper back while being nauseous these microvasculature vessels will be looked at quickly. Speak up! As woman never allow the words "panic attacks" "emotional" be used or "acid reflux" "constipation". Just dont. Please. Drs please pay attention to our symptoms. My regular Dr did. I'm grateful again.

I’ve had 5 DVTs since 2016. One in 2016 one in 2018 and three this year. I have Factor V Leiden which I guess is one of the mutations you meant? Doctors keep playing around with my medications. I’ve been on three different ones and had problems ranging from bleeding out and having to have transfusions, to getting DVTs even though I’m on the blood thinners. I’ve also had P.Es too

Unfortunately, the doctor didn't provide any information on how fibroids can be mistaken for cervical cancer or vice versa. She kept saying cervical cancer could be prevented. There must be symptom overlap somewhere?

Just been diagnosed with dvt ... had a 3 minute ultrasound then passed onto a doctor who told me to take blood thinners for 6 months to life then waved me off from the hospital im confused
@carabingham32072 ай бұрын
Did they give you a prescription for blood thinners? 6 months is the amount to time a clot can take to break down. The taking it for life is a precaution to stop you getting more clots. If you have any concerns see your doctor. I am not an expert, or associated to this channel but I saw your comment and thought I’d try to help clear things up for you. I’ve also had DVTs

Autoimmune diseases are very common these days. Planet Ayurveda’s immunoplan syrup can help in modulating the immunity.
@atibakojo34783 ай бұрын
Wow he just sat there and gave the standard doctor double talk. Notice he never talked of cureing anything,but turn off your immune system thru drugs to give you more drugs, to maintain you in state of unhealth. Never once talked about the real causes and cure diet. That why it increasing your a drug customer now. Stop eating trash. Basically American food. See how much better you'll be and feel. Medicine based on petroleum,and chemicals cannot cure you.

Worst part is this is not like a comatose situation where u dont really feel ur senses. Patients are completely aware of what is going on, they can 100% feel the pain but don't have motor functions to express it. My uncle was going through hell with this, he was on a ventilator and later on tracheostomy was done. Whenever we opened his eyes, he used to cry😢

WOW he sugar coated this disease & that’s disappointing. So for those who need more understanding, this is disease hijacks your body WHILE YOU ARE FULLY AWARE. That makes it worse! This is my grandpa currently and he has had PSP going on 6 years. He cannot talk, he cannot walk, he chokes on food and liquids so food needs to be blended and water needs to be thickened to insure no aspiration which can lead to pneumonia, eventually feeding tube will be put in, he cannot look up or down without moving his head so there is no Peripheral vision. They bite their tongues and they bleed. Uncontrollable PSP face (google what that looks like, they always look worried or surprised) Uncontrollable emotions like laughing and crying he cannot help it. Depression. PT & OT barely help. If anything after he is in pain for days on end after. Freeze gait is present, if he holds on to a bar he is squeezing it for dear life and it’s hard to get him to unlock his hands or let go, he is tired all the time but can only sleep 10-20 minutes unless given strong sleep pills and anxiety pills which also do not work, dizziness and sometimes falling out of bed(they feel like they’re slipping out of bed) his joints and neck are so stiff and eventually PSP patients shrivel up and cannot keep their head up and their hands become cramped(think vegetable but still FULLY aware) their brain tricks them into thinking it’s time to use the restroom so it can be up and down for hours taking them to the bathroom, he has developed Echoalia which is him repeating everything I say when he is able to muster up a mumble, agitation and I just know with all I described, I STILL missed a lot of points. NOW HERE IS REAL ADVICE FROM A CAREGIVER who takes care of someone with this disease: this is hard! Take care of yourself. It’s an emotional ride. You are watching someone you love lose themselves quickly. If you cannot take care of yourself due to lack of sleep you cannot be there for your psp individual. Have family and friends help out so you get a day off. I went 9 months with no help and no sleep. I was losing my mind. You’re filled with anxiety about when the next fall is going to happen or if I have to find him on the floor because he forgot to ring his bell to tell me he has to use the bathroom. You need a lot of help and support. No body can do this alone. Also look up “Big and Loud” on KZbin it’s speech therapy and exercises for your loved one. Keep them talking as long as you can. Do vocal warm ups with them. OH and they respond so well to music. My grandpa won’t talk and I can tell he’s trying to speak but if I put on his favorite songs he is able to sing and that brings happiness to both PSP patients and the caregiver. Good luck 🍀

I also forgot to add they are prone to UTI like CRAAAAAZY. Which can lead to sepsis.
@illyanatidwell29194 ай бұрын
ONE MORE THING: a lot of them tend to fall backwards. At first he started with shuffling then he would start run to try to catch himself. Eventually it turned into only backwards falls and mostly leaning backwards. So as we always say “nose over toes!”

My doctor just told me yesterday that I need a pacemaker and like a year or two I was telling me about this option. He says I'm young and doesn't want to put the regular pacemaker in because of the leads and it wears out and when they take it out it can cause death so he suggested this but also nobody in Missouri has gotten one he said which makes me a little worried. I don't know which pacemaker I'll decide to do when it comes to that time but this is scary something that was just approved.

He really whitewashed this horrific disease. My husband was diagnosed in 2022, it took a long time to diagnose. Now it is 2024 and my husband can't do anything on his own. Speech has been gone for over a year. He is extremely stiff, movement almost impossible. I could go on and on. Pray for a cure.
