Wow, this was an amazing video. Thanks for all the great information. I'm half Sicilian, and half English. My last name is Fletcher, which is a Norman surname on my Dad's side, who has Norman ancestry from the invasions into England. My mother's family is from Palermo, and it seems they have Norman ancestry as well, although you wouldn't know it by our physical features (black curly hair, olive skin and dark eyes). I think over the many generations, the Normans and Lombards, who were mainly fair haired, blue eyed, had children with Sicilian women and over centuries their ancestors became more and more Mediterranean looking. Living in a very sunny, hot climate will do that over many centuries as well.

Man blir jo litt provosert. 👍

The recovery from male bottleneck is made possible only by a society which allows polygamy. It must had been possible before Christianity to have children with more women. "Ivan" was undoubtedly great not only with battle axe. By the way, it's not only I1 that I find sounding like "Ivan", but also the mythological Odin means "One" in several Slavic languages. You count 1, 2, 3 as "Odin, dva, tri". If you want to know why a God is named after the first numeral, it could just mean that his parents had him as firstborn; but it could also mean that he was to be one and only God. Who can tell?
@VikingStories7 күн бұрын
Interesting, thanks!

Every person who is indigenous to England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland is going to be partly from viking descent. Especially if all 4 of their grandparents are from those countries. The amount will vary from one person to another. Its be proven by many studies. The vikings, whether Norwegian or Danish, had a big influence on all of those countries.
