I appreciate fhe lack of dramatic tone. Too often movies are heavy handed with tone and don't allow us to feel the way we feel. It also borders dark comedy. Jordan's The Butcher Boy was another one like that.

I've seen this 3 times- in theaters, on DVD, and on TV. (The last time was good for me, I was depressed that day.) This is actually one of my top 10 favorite comedies- I laughed a lot, and there's many great lines. When I was saw it on DVD, I was rewinding a bunch of parts to catch some jokes. I know it's not a cinematic masterpiece, but it's a movie that I love from start to finish, so I personally think it's a 10/10- as a comedy. PS: I have never seen Superbad as of 5/18/22.

I liked S1-7 so I liked even the weaker seasons like 5 and 6. Season 8 no, it was like a bad work-in-progress fan fiction written by a bored kid. New Blood was going well, but the ending felt really off. They should just retcon the final episode and you could easily have a 9/10 season with the right ending. I also did my own rewrite of New Blood if you wanna check that out, it's how I would have done a 10 episode closure to Dexter's story. It's on my channel and rewrites New Blood starting from episode 1.
@gabethegardner78162 жыл бұрын
Yeah I do think season 8 definitely was the drop off. It’s disappointing the show was still as entertaining as it was until the end, again; and yeah I’ll definitely have to check your video out!

You mention fan fiction. From what I've seen a lot of angry fan rewrites seem like fan fiction.

I agree with your comments on repeating previous arcs and inconsistent quality. I don't think the lack of powers was an issue, just that the writing failed to make up for it.

He was a person beyond of his time. He is Albert Einstein in Cinemas. Albert Einstein never wanted to become a professor, scientist or world famous, he was only obsessed with the facts of universe. Satyajit Roy never wanted a Oscar, he just wanted to tell the story. He loved stories - that was his real weakness. He loved it so much that he was incapable of imagining what is not a story. ❤️ From a very primitive village of Bengal, India.

I have question on how you would clarify if the corpse bride qualifies as one of the laika studio movies because both tim burton and laika studios are both credited for the creation of the movie. Which you can even tell because victor’s mother also has the same style as Miss Forcible from Coraline.
@gabethegardner78163 жыл бұрын
Laika helped work on Corpse Bride as their first contract deal, but the movie was more of a minor collaboration and they don’t consider it to be one of their own.

I saw Shang-Chi and I thought not only was the action and fights scenes were incredible but also the art of the fight. When you would see different elements in the air like water and flowers during the some of the fight scenes made it more mystical. It gave this essence of artwork being brought to life from seeing the individual droplets or water beadings. Also the addition of the fight scenes having a nice flow almost air like the scenes were smooth and seemed natural. I honestly think this is one of the best movies that Marvel has released lately that focuses on a singular superhero/character.

If your new to Satyajit Ray movies I will definitely recommend you a few. Nayak, Two, Charulata, Aguntuk, Jana Aranya. And also, do watch the other two movies of 'Pather Panchali' trilogy. Those are also really good.

I'm glad that you seemed to like the movie! However, I do have a few points that might be helpful to better understand this movie: - Mads Mikkelsen's character is the"main character", but the other three are considered almost on par with his. - This movie is a comedy/drama first and foremost, and an action movie second. I don't know why the foreign marketing material decided to cut out the comedy as it's one of the main components, but there you go. The original Danish trailers make the comedy aspect abundantly clear. - This is Anders Thomas Jensen's unique stile of movies. He's made for more of these types of films, if you're interested: Men and Chicken (4), Adam's Apples (3), The Green Butchers (2), and Flickering Lights (1).
