Congrats Brent. You are truly a favorite son of Vermont. Thank you for reminding everyone of Vermont's Mary E Wilkins Freeman literary prowess and your help in creating an historical marker in Brattleboro for this overlooked literary personality. Here is your presentation at the Brooks Memorial Library on your release of the new edition of Green Mountain Stories. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iqKamXyPm6uoidUsi=WuyY5lmYaz8q_K_G

Loved the comedy and complexity of faces, Barney and Brent sharing in an obscure yet magnificent contribution to American literature, Kendrick's life's work unfolding in thirty minutes. I've been lucky enough to stumble across Professor Kendrick's incredible knowledge and history dealing with Freeman's life and writing at our wonderful Virginia mountain county's community college. I forgive Kendrick for wanting to be adopted by Vermont for his dedication to Freeman. Virginia just as green! Great podcast here, plus a connection to Kendrick's own Wired Researcher podcast. Thanks to these two. Remarkable conversation.

Thanks so much! I'll be thrilled if the Barney's podcast catapults Freeman into the home and hearts of Vermonters, the Green Mountain State that Freeman held close to her heart even after she moved away from Brattleboro!

Brilliant interview! Barnaby (the singer!) has such a humorous and engaging personality - as well as being insanely talented. The other Barney asked interesting questions which resulted in us getting a real insight into Barnaby's life. I would love to have heard what kind of impact having a baby son has had. I can imagine that leaving him whilst touring must be tough.

This movie was so bad I needed to learn how it even happened. Good for you for scoring this interview, but I am honestly trying to figure out how he got the cast to make this movie?
@RealEllenDeGeneres8 күн бұрын
Or how he's still allowed to make films at all. His best scoring film was a 5/10 in the past 10 films he has done. And most of his films are 2s, 3s, or 4s... Like that's REALLY bad. Even crappy movies will get a 5.5 or 6. You have to go out of your way to get a 2/10 lol.

Maybe I didn't get it, but it seemed like Barnaby's dialectic with respect to post-covid performance was CDs vs live performance. In fact, what makes voces8 so accessible is that they often perform on VIDEO, so you can SEE as well as hear them on their KZbin and other online performances. Plus there's the fact that, although he was somewhat self-effacing about it, he's also become a top notch sound engineer, and has acquired very good equipment, and these also contribute substantially to the accessibility of voces8. With great visuals and great sound, their internet performances are just about as good as hearing them live.

Jeff, I just discovered a 40 minute interview of Voces 8 Musical director Barnaby Smith being interviewed in which he discusses how they do what they do and how it all got started!!!! kzbin.info/www/bejne/hYjcoJachpp6eZosi=SstOFmPo4Z-4c8M_. Obviously too long for a video but, oh my, the information it contains!

VOCES8 have not been the same since Eleonore Cockerham left the group! 😭😭
@brianwest74585 ай бұрын
I felt the same; but each change introduces a new person who grows into the role, and in due course seems just as vital as Eleonore did. Molly is great! That said, I shall be shattered if and when Andrea ever leaves.

Hi there . I visited your KZbin channel and noticed that you regularly upload videos. However you are not able to set up the right keywords in the video. That's why your videos are not reaching people. I suggest that you ensure correct video tagging because it will help your videos show up first when people search for related content on KZbin.Then day by day your channel's video viewers and subscribers will increase.

I love how these nutters imagine that the stone walls from the colonies are ancient Native American monuments. It's the remains of the colonies. Nothing more and nothing less. The colonists were farmers. When they plowed up rocks they carried them to the edge of the fields in wagons and made walls. They made rock piles all of New England and stacked rocks on boulders that they couldn't move. The people who believe that these were made by Native American people are seriously insane.
