This is real good, exactly the kind of video I needed. I've been real down on trying to both figure out how to get data and also worried that I'm trying to hard to take turns/keep up pressure. Thanks for this video Zaferino

Just wanted to say this stuff really works. I have ADHD and can often lose context between rounds but have found I play better when speaking aloud to friends I'm streaming my game to. Its too easy to revert to mindless autopilot. Even speaking out your opponents strings and frame data helps to stay engaged.

I remember when I trained Brazilian Jiu jitsu and I would try to incorporate the lessons into sparring right after class. It was a new skill and wasn’t seamless at that point. All I would do was mentally process the day of training and the following class I would be more fluid. It’s as if I was training the entire time away. It’s the best feeling when things just click and you see progress.

Dee Jay can bait DI with double fireball blockstrings by cancelling it into level 3, and level 2 if it's EX edit: Haven't test it but I doubt DJ could punish a fullscreen Sonic Blade. His drive rush is one of the shortest distance in the game, and the only way he could quickly get across the whole screen is DR > slide, which I'm guessing is too slow and/or would get hit by the Sonic Blade hitbox. That's what happens with Ed's Psycho Spark anyway

Thanks for the tips! A lot of these type of videos seem to have Akuma or Cammy or Ken as the defending character, with their speedy walks and juicy 4f/6f low lights/mediums, dps, IRs etc etc. I'm sure most work for everyone but it'd be nice to see the options for a more limited character from time to time.

I wouldn't want you to alter the other coaching style videos, but this is the best version of 'a tip for each character' I've ever seen by far and I'm not sure when you even knew that's what you were gonna be doing. So many notes to take but more so you helped me understand what people mean when they say 'lab the matchup, idk something clicked when you were talking about why Jamie players make space. You just communicate it all so well. Thank you.

As a Plat 4 Marisa, the difference between low-level and high-level play is insane. When I try to play footsies, I get hit with random DI. When I try to keep my offense quick & tight, I get out footsied. 😂😂😂

Hey Zaf, you talked about creating situations at the end of the video, and using those situations to observe your opponent so you can counterplay them next time you create the situation. What are some simple advantageous situations I can create in neutral with Akuma so I can practice this observe-and-counterplay muscle?

Maybe because you'd lose out information otherwise? sure he could keep it short or maybe put timestamps, but if you're not serious about learning then just don't watch it, or find another vid

I appreciate your comment. The point of these videos is to go into details about things that other people skip over, don't even know exist or can't convey accurately enough to fit the learning and communication style of the student. I can make shorter content, and be like everyone else, or I can keep filling in a gap that hasn't been filled elsewhere with my God given talents and work ethic that helped me get the experience to understand these complex or abstract concepts and deliver them to you in an easier to understand way. There are no shortcuts to success, so I suggest mastering your attention span if you want to be excellent at anything and everything in life. Much love.
@yourstillwithme10 күн бұрын
@@Zaferino1 Its a video game. Its not that serious to everyone. You can still deliver the same content and concepts and break them down. You literally just passive aggressively insulted me for suggesting I dont desire to watch an hour long video to improve at a SF game. Maybe you need to look at this from another perspective and ask yourself, "Did I really need to insult a random stranger on my video because he didnt want to watch an hour long youtube video?" At the end of the day, you're judging me for not watching a KZbin video on a video game and youre trying to indirectly hide that insult by throwing in that "much love" at the end. Holy shit dude. That was a WILD response.

27:45 that auto timed shimmy button was something I didn’t even know I did or was a problem until picking up bison and his 2 best shimmy’s after DR, oki, or scissor is HP and HK and they’re extremely slow so id do them prematurely but if the opponent was autopilot and delay tech it would catch my slow button on startup so I had to start reacting and sometimes the reaction would be too late so I started doing Cmk to catch the shimmy and there own walk back and be able to react in time and it worked like a charm 👌
