@bojanowskioutdoors it's a manure spreader. No one stands behind this machine or they get crap on them. Kinda a play on words.

You should have bought the Newer Spreader with the agitator that helps spread the whole load without needing the pitch fork. I have a product review video of the Newer Spreader in my KZbin channel “Total Horse Media”.

Check out brand newer spreader. Its all aluminum. Very durable. I have tried ones like these. They rust and have issues.

We bought this Countyline spreader a year ago. It has never worked properly. The first thing that happened was a nut came off the wheel engagement lever while we were using it (1st time) and bent the levers. We had poor help from Tractor Supply. They kept referring us to CountyLine who intern referred us back to tractor Supply. It was like neither wanted t to be bothered. After months, we finally received the replacement part, which we had to pick up. After putting it back together, the engagement lever kept getting jammed up against the metal post on the wheel. We have to use a screwdriver or hammer to dislodge it every time, otherwise, the drum won't close. My last complaint is that it doesn't drop the maneuver evenly, it only comes out a teaspoon at a time and only from one side. I would not recommend this spreader to anyone.

Expensive cheap garbage, just like everything in that store
@Ohiodirt12 жыл бұрын
Something that worked for us when the engagement lever jammed against the metal post was to just simply back up a couple feet and relieve pressure against the post. Otherwise it’s been great for us.

How do you think this spreader would work with medium sized wood chips, maybe 3” or so long and 1”-1.5” wide pieces?
@Ohiodirt13 жыл бұрын
Man I don’t know about that. The opening for material is roughly 1”. I would hate to say yes.

Lots asking if this would spread compost? I'd like to know the same thing. Has anyone used this to spread compost? also is there a way you can open up half way? I was also thinking you might be able to lay a screen in first and then put in your compost or peat moss I might slow it down a bit so it wouldn't come out to thick?
@Ohiodirt13 жыл бұрын
Wow I am really sorry about no response. I haven’t checked the channel in a while. Looks like I need to get back to it😁. As for compost I would say yes. Closing 1 side though would be tough since the tumbler is located right in the middle. I am sure with some redesign it’s possible.

We have one for spreading horse manure and it's not worth the gas it took in your truck to go get it. Axle is bent. agitator plugs and wraps up with hay. Because the axle is bent, the chain won't stay on. One wheel feel off of the rim also. about a year old
@Ohiodirt13 жыл бұрын
Wow that’s a bummer. Ours is doing well. We do have hay in the agitator from time too time, but we don’t put much in the spreader because of that. We also feed our bourse in slow feeder bags nets and they clean up pretty well so we don’t have a lot of wasted hay in the stalls.
@jaymo36474 жыл бұрын
Good video. You think this will work for spreading peat moss?
@Ohiodirt14 жыл бұрын
Honestly it would spread it, but it would be too thick. The opening at exit is around an 1”.

**Atn Countyline** I'm looking for a compost spreader. I don't have horses and I'll only use this thing a few times per year to improve the quality of my soil. If you could please modify one of your existing products for home owners, I'd buy it!

@Ohiodirt14 жыл бұрын
DonnieDarko727 hey sorry for the late response. Yes I try to keep as much hay out of the spreader as possible. It will get caught up in agitator bar. Again sorry for the failure to reply. Didn’t know I had a comment. 😄. I’m a KZbin newbie. Let me know if you have other questions.
