Your video is spot on, especially when it comes to the importance of a solid email marketing funnel. Since I started using Do You Mail, I have been amazed at how much easier it is to send from unlimited domains without worrying about deliverability. The automatic DNS config was just what I needed! If you are looking to elevate your game, this is where I would start.

Does a customer get removed from the flow automatically if they return to their cart through the email, or should I be adding a conditional split (hasn't ordered since starting the flow) before each email step?

If they go back to the cart, purchase and you have the 'hasn't ordered since starting the flow' filter on the flow they will be removed and you don't need to add a filter before each step

You can do that or you can integrate/connect the list when you're integrating klaviyo with Shopify.

For CLV segment Predictive analytics about someone the Predicted Customer Lifetime Value is not available it shows only Predicted Gender

It's still an available segment on Klaviyo, but I believe it's not available until you hit a certain number of sales to make the predictive analytics statistically significant

Hey! Thanks for the video, very clear and easy to follow. Question for you... I just switched from Gohighlevel to klavyio. My list is about 13k (if that matters), I only sent 3 emails and I'm already at risk of being shut down with a second warning sent from klayvio. How do I clean my list when I've only sent just a couple emails with little history that will be shown? Seems I may be suppressing a lot. Ty in advance!!

Curious, if a client has an optin offer of like $10 off, and visitors can opt in via either a popup or an embedded footer optin, would you still create separate lists for each of those? Any reason they can't both go to ONE list since they should get the same coupon and welcome flow? Also wondering for Campaigns why you specifically exclude bounces and suppressed? Aren't those automatically excluded by Klaviyo? Thanks!

@@shaynamerkaba For those, probably just keep it the same :) For campaigns: we create more strict rules for bounces. Suppressed: yes, you're right, we just do it out of habit but it isn't completely necessary :)

Hey Derek, great video, thanks! I had one question, you briefly touched on this but if a contact is suppressed and they come back say 8 months later and purchase. What is the best way to get them back out of unsuppressed and back into a flow / segment to be marketed to?

Good question. If they come back and purchase (and opt-back in) then they will become unsuppressed. If they purchase but don't opt-back in then they'll remain suppressed.

We use designed emails for most of the emails in this flow, although sometimes we may have a plain text email further along the flow as well.

Ironic, because now they are too big, and too much of a monopoly that it’s hurting publishing houses, and authors because they have to offer Amazon books at a much lower cost than competitors thus leading to smaller profits for authors. This is causing publishers to have less money for new and emerging authors, and less money to pay existing authors. Not to mention, when they sell out of a book, they will just print their own copies of it and the quality is always trash and looks nothing like the original design of the books/covers. In short, it was never about a man and his love for reading, because how could you grow to screw over the whole book community in such a way. It was always about money, so no surprise he’s the monopoly he is today.

Great video Derek. Do you find that open rates are still a useful metric for assessing deliverability considering apple privacy opens, and things like that?

Thank you and great question! Yes, definitely still find it useful. Open rates are vanity metrics, so we don’t use it to make huge decisions, but it will tell us a lot about deliverability/if the emails are even getting to the inbox. You can also filter out apple privacy opens if you want to get a clearer idea of open rates

The welcome flow you showed with the conditional splits was really helpful. I imagine this would also help with deliverability, could you show the rest of the flow? I think it was right where klayviyo freezed up in the video.

Just found your channel, so much great info, thank you for your help! Quick question regarding the core 4 segments from a previous video. If I wanted to send one campaign to multiple different segments (ex. 90D lead and 90D engaged), how would I make sure that 1) a user isn’t in both segments I’m using and 2) that if they are they don’t receive my campaign email twice?

Glad you've found it helpful! Good questions: 1. They might be but to answer #2 as well, I would add them as exclusions (ie. first email is sent to segment 1 excluding segment 2 and the second email is sent to segment 2, excluding anyone who received email 1)
