How does Technics SU-R1000 compare to similar price integrated amplifier like Accuphase e-4000, Yamaha as 3200 or luxman 509 and which would take the cake as the best performance and sound quality
@secretshometheaterКүн бұрын
I can't honestly compare the Technics SU-R1000 with those other units that you mention because I have not spent the same amount of time with them, particularly in my home and with my speakers. I have heard all of them to varying degrees at audio shows and they are each really good choices. I will say that I do have a soft spot in my heart for the Accuphase. :)

I want to hear the Totem Bison Twin Tower. I'd love to compare them to the new Sonus faber Sonetto III G2. I just got the Sonus fibers and they are pretty incredible.

I am with you 100%. Could not agree more. I also enjoyed your delivery 🙂 great pitch and speed, very easy to listen to. I have owned the Fosi collection and they sound good but a little too small 😊 . Currently using an STR-DH820 but need a second receiver so may go with a 790 myself. 😊. Excellent video!!

Appreciated this review! I have researched integrated amps on repeat for 3 years and still can't pull the trigger. Tone controls are the hard one for me. I know the Audiolab products will sound good with wharfedale, but they seem to lack visual quality for the price. I had my my mind set on the Yamaha AS-1200 ( but it t is too big), considered the Marantz PM 70000n as well. An HDMI and tone controls would have made this a no-brainier. My wife has taken over out movie room with gaming and I repurposed an older Yamaha HTR-5490 with 5 disc carousel that I have had for 20+ years in a second space. I bought some Wharfedale Denton 85th Anniversary, paired an SVS micro 3000 sub (as I love edm and hip hop) , and I stream through and Arylic S50 Pro. I am continually drawn to the Cambridge products. Really wish I could try one out in my space as well.

Who can afford them???

I'd kill for an affordable, compact 5.1 or 7.1 AVR with class D amplification. but put the headphone jack back in - then it appeals to the desktop crowd too. It runs off the amps so it only costs pennies to keep it on there.

I own the AXR100 and honestly I always leave tone control at 10 bass and 8 treble and that works for most my music. Maybe this one is calibrated to offer good bass.and treble?

Wow. Strong recommendation. You sound really happy with the speakers, but I am concerned about the build quality and the parts used in constructing this speaker. Also, I’m not sure I need this big of a speaker in my space. I am thinking about pulling the trigger on the GR-Research “Bully” due to it’s build quality and adjustability. Any thoughts?

Great review Sir. Thank you. How would you compare these to the Klipsch RP600M-II? The Klipsch are on sale on Amazon for a ridiculously low $380 during Black Friday weekend. The Elac’s are $450.

Last and final thought the Klipsch f o r t e model 3 and model 4 Rock The Free world. And they will handle and eat for your lunch all the power you can give them
@ChooseThesekeysАй бұрын
I recently obtained two sequential pairs of the 1403 and they Rock the casbah. They will handle increase play with deep bass play wonderfully through Rush hemispheres deep purple live 1996 the rock the house on the other side of the scale they will play Bernard herrmann Vivaldi as well as Philip Glass and similar sounds collectively and beautifully. They are incredibly accurate and reproducing orchestral and chamber string quartets quintets wonderful acoustical guitar in particularly crisp and evident organ piano in harpsichord I swear this is true.. you buy a pair of these and you will never have to buy another pair of speakers for the rest of your life. Eclipse for today is so satisfying with the model 3 in the model for which is so close in similarity I doubt if you could tell the model 3 years and model four apart from each other when there are no labels to tell you which speaker is which.. the eclipse 14 model 3 in metal 4 will blow your mind and give your home the shivers. Nothing more needs to be said. Decisive decision obtained.

Have heard multiple Dali speakers ( own the Dali Minuet SE) they are over the top for sound vs cost in the top, so this new Kore series should be interesting. The Dali rep was really good…..He was engaging. Nice video structure btw😊

Good, accurate review. Those Elacs sound so good for the money because you're paying for sound quality, build quality, speaker element quality, not JEWELRY. I am not into jewelry at all. But as a musician, I am into good sound. And I know when I hear a good speaker. And of course I like tubes somewhere in the mix. I have seven older B&W speakers. I'm not using them now. I'm running the elac debut reference dbr62. Yes they are still $700, while many other brands are lowering their prices. Gee, wonder why? These new elacs and the older DBR 62 punch way above their price. Very high quality components, great design and build quality. Solid cabinet. Mine go down to 30 hertz, so not using a subwoofer. Now these are not going to get loud enough to break your windows, but I prefer to have my paintings stay on the wall anyway. I don't need really loud music, I just needed to shake the couch a bit and sound fantastic, more like a live performance. I am selling my Bowers & Wilkins. If I ever get more speakers, they will be elacs probably. Or something designed by Andrew Jones... MoFi? Thanks for the video. You have a good ear sir.

They sound great with a class D amp with tube preamp. Surprisingly good. If you can get about 50 clean watts per channel, you're good to go. That might take 100w per channel amp.
