I think a lot of the people who get these and complain about braking power need to also adjust their caliper

I put a one of these brake calipers with a cable on my vintage go cart. Everything is brand new. It works, but not very well. I’ve adjusted and re adjusted, checked and double checked. Arrow is pointed towards the front of the cart. I do not know what else to do. The tires should lock up. I have to push so hard and I barely slow down. Thank you!

Kudos for the effort but I had a plan to make a sand blast cabinet from a stainless steel dish washer. Had a pile of components and was just waiting for the time when I saw a used one on Facebook market place for $50 and realized my time was worth more than $50 and went and got it. My point is if your someone who enjoys projects then great but if you have too many projects already don't bury yourself with more trivial projects otherwise. Nothing ever gets done at least that's how it works for me😀

wow, it looks so good, it almost looks like tile. bravo. what type of glue did you use and did you have any creaks to fix. on the creaks, do I just use those nails that twist in so they don't loosen and squeak? ( the boards you walk on underneath the linoleum .. mine squeak (under-boards) after 23 years later, squeak like hell.

Not sure hard plastic is what you want for the hammer project.... But for a successful " blank" of plastic...you will require compression....its eliminates porosity ...

Look everyone its the low budget, other side of the tracks Tony Stark. We'll call him Cast Iron Man.lol just kidding. Maybe you can mount a pivot and and a 90deg piece. When you step down it pivots and pushes on the plunger. Would that work.

The right straps would have caused much less drama. I came accross this video while looking up when I could start lifting a 350lb slab. 2 inches thick and hoping it doesn't break. It's reinforced with 2 layers of brick force and has coarse sand in the concrete mix.

Ive inherited a basket case. No brakes right now. And aside from other obvious izzues in that dept i was wondering if the caliper is supposed to be floating or bolted. My guess is floating, i cant see how it would escape, but the previous owner bolted it in.
