Take a Benz W124 from 85 - 95 with Airbag. You'll see the difference. Much more better the W140 with Sidebags. The W140 can even the actually US IIHS against a hard bareer 25% small Overlap with fantastic result.

I love my C300 it’s my first car with a sweet moon roof and the nice red all though the last owner wasn’t good at taking care of her I’m doing my best to try to make her look good and fix the water problems because of the Moon roof 😅 I hope I can keep her running for a good long time. Loved watching this knowing that the w204 was created not just because it should’ve been another car but because it was meant to be special and I love it! #TeamMercedesBenz

80 mph? You serious? And you run a car program... It doesn't work like 40+40. Draw an X-axis and 2 cars. One goes at speed of 40 and the other -40 and there's 0 at the middle at a crash. So it's like crashing at uncrashable wall at 40 mph. That works if cars are about the same mass. If one is significantly bigger than the other - bigger car will have less speed at crash than the smaller car.

Modern cars just suck in all other ways. Ugly as satans asshole, too complicated, too much gadgetry, too much electronics. No feel, no soul. Like driving a fucking iphone without about the same lifespan on feeling fresh and new before your consumption addled mind needs to buy a new one for another endorphin hit.

I am amazed that the non engineer Musk is given a pass due to his money. As someone who has worked in the motor insurance industry, the star rating does not work like this. A small car with a higher rate than a big car will come out on top, unless the difference is overwhelming, such as a truck v a supermini. Although this is a great Golf ad, it's still not the best. Imo the best one is the 'squeaky earring' one, with the laughing mechanic. Then there's also the Paula Hamilton one which is another classic VW Golf ad.

The 940 is even older today but still very impressive. The 850 is a completely different story, I saw one recently again scraping alongside a bus in a tight corner, the bus had very deep dents and scratches, the Volvo did not have a single scratch aside from a tiny one which the driver later confirmed to be from him accidently scratching it with the key the day before

Things like no scrath don't show safety, New cars are several times safer that's a fact.

@kaliikleja Might be true, but new cars are also a lot more prone to failure. With their 1L aluminium engines + turbo, which may last a whopping 250k kms. Lets not even talk about all the expensive electronical failures you can get and some french cars are famous for. Also the 940 did really bad on safety tests because pedestrian safety is an important factor. 940s would plow through a group of people without getting a scratch. Ergo, not safe for pedestrians.

@@TheCocksmuggler This test shows how newer cars are lot safer than this old car. Safety is more important than car maintain costs, this is the reason why you should always select new car.

@@kaliikleja Well nah, you could say newer cars are safer if you actually get in a 100+mph crash. But then again, even newer cars wont guarantee your safety. But older cars usually have better view due to less thick pillars, which makes you avoid crashes. Its also not economical to always buy new cars, that is a really dumb reason.

@@TheCocksmuggler there is no death proof car 60 mph to tree is still deadly sadly. But 30 years old cars vs new cars safety is several times better in new cars, big difference. safety is more important. pillars is no problem these are not so big, you must watch carefully. Even 2010 cars are several times safer than 30 years old, but new cars are more safe.

„Water based paint“ if they only knew how badly the cars would rust and how damaging it was for them. I own a Mercedes W203 and I am aware of the rust issues due to the paint, if u manage to cope with it, u have an excellent car
