Reading comments I see the reason for the rubber bands. On reading Audsley I wanted to experiment with mouth height. I made a harmonic flute with smooth wind way and the upper lip moves zero to almost square mouth. Though this flute has one note no fingerholes the variable mouth gives it a wide range of notes. Moving it whilst playing is like making a filter sweep on a synth.
