Another fun place to go in KC is the West Bottoms on the first Friday/Saturday of the month- lots of street performers, vendors, stores, and perhaps the best of them, a piano shop with 100+ pianos including players, organs, nickelodeons, and more!

I love that also when fellow americans help others cities and places in their way even if its just tourist dollars, because,......america! When high speed rail is put in well no longer think of respective areas in terms of all the distance Ever get how photos and videos in what arent specific places and you can tell what city or town their in?

Really, what time did you go, 6am ? There's a million cars driving around and every lot is full. Finding a place to park is a challenge. Taking the street car is your best bet.
@kcandbeyond Жыл бұрын
Great question! During the week the city market traffic is not that bad. Weekends, however, can be a madhouse😳That’s why, as we said in our video, we prefer taking the Streetcar. But on days we want to go to the farmers market and really don’t have the time, we’ve found that the traffic thins out around 1:30-2:00pm. It’s perfect because the stalls are still open and you don’t have to contend with all the craziness.

Badger Blades, usually just to the left of the entry. I spent HOURS talking about smithing with them if that's your thing. Not joking, HOURS. "What makes a long sword a great sword?" for example. For the curious, an arming sword was one handed. a long sword could be one or two handed (what is commonly called a bastard sword). So at what point is a long sword a great sword?
@kcandbeyond Жыл бұрын
Badger Blades and Dwarf Mountain Knives are two amazing bladesmiths! Rob is looking forward to owning one of their blades for the studio. To answer your question, a long sword is wearable, like a traditional hand-and a-half, a great sword is one that is two dang big to wear comfortably or drawn easily (like a zweihander or claymore) and must be carried around. If you want to learn more about longswords check out our friends Sellsword Arts here on KZbin! youtube.com/@SellswordArts

Kcmo isn’t the economic center of the region with all the white flight and urban decay in KCMO. Johnson county Kansas has the highest gdp and most wealth and highest density.

@@iknowdeweybrudda6564actually, downtown KCMO provides so much value it still to this day continues to support the suburban living you continue to think is rich. It’s a very sad history what’s happened in kc, and if you don’t know the history of red lining a district, then I’d recommend you start there. The downtown library may even still have their maps up on the 5th floor showing where houses & business would be able to get financing and what color of skin they needed to get it. With that attitude though, I doubt you’d ever even step foot into one of if not still ranked “the best public library in America.” Funny it’s not in CansAss

@iknowdeweybrudda6564 Жыл бұрын
Kcmo is mostly detached single family homes and suburban sprawl with low density; more so than Overland Park and Lenexa. And over 50% of the metro areas office space is in Johnson county Kansas. Johnson county Kansas is the most densely populated and wealthiest county with over 613,000 people. Johnson county’s median household income is 96,059$ and kcmos is a saddening 60,042$. Theres more people living within 5 miles of downtown Overland Park than within 5 miles of downtown kcmo. Johnson county Kansas GDP is higher than Jackson County Missouri. There has been decades of white flight and urban decay from Kansas City Missouri. kcmo has a terrible crime problem.

I’ve walked the plaza when bored before. It is free to do as well AND the Nelson Art museum is also free. Also, at night you can see the plaza/art museum from Liberty memorial, as the beam of light coming out of the church from the Plaza area there can be seen on a clear night.
