When Jo finds out the truth, she wishes that she'd never written that article. But it's too late now, the damage has been. She was mad at Mr. Gideon for doing his job and now because of her, he's lost his job. When something like this happens, it puts a permanent stain on the teacher's image even if the teacher is proven innocent. Students these days are aware of this and do this to get back at teachers for giving them poor grades(which they deserved). They spread false rumors how the teacher does bad things and even when it's proven to be false, the teacher still loses his/her job. It's also a reason why people these days don't want to become teachers because they don't like being subject to terrible rumors.

Why wasn't Nancy McKeon (Jo) in the commentary? All of the girls on there were on the commentary except Nancy. She was the best one on that show.

I never knew until Norman Lear died that, The Facts of Life was one of his shows. Aside from Charlotte Rae, I think Molly Ringwald was the biggest breakout star of the show, even though Molly's character was only in the first season.. Charlotte Rae was from Wisconsin .

Nancy's absence from the "interview" portions of this video is like a big void. For me, The Facts of Life (once the show evolved into the thing it would be known for: a fun and diverse foursome plus their guiding light in Mrs. Garrett) was so much about the wonderful dynamic between two _very_ different characters of Jo and Blair who are forced to live together during their formative/angsty/teen years ... and who eventually come to appreciate, understand, respect and love each other--- but still exchanging fun verbal barbs. Too bad McKeon wasn't here to reflect on what the show meant to her too.

The possibility respectful of the show Charlotte Rae is more spot light all seasons. Like more disloyalty of the characters together sister hood season one Nancy who played Felicia she’s got the first most laughs and everything Blair snobby selfish rich girlie girl suck up for any reason Blair with Charlotte Rae is going back in school. Kim Tootie as a kid beauty school more the youngest part of her. She was older mindy Natalie best friend and sparkly blue jokester. My opinion has been made molly is my favorite thing since secret life of the American teenager sue Anne tomboy out broke down family going sports Julia she’s more low down right down country side match maker friends. Season one I made this last one. Nancy Mckeon seaport tow is my favorite part of the group show jo is like drama comedy wait on it. I had this sitcom the longest one. It’s 80s it’s the year I am born in the 80s It’s brilliant comfortable emotional times good times get along Charlotte girls turned out well

I remember the reunion movie and feeling so sad that Jo wasn’t there. If the Peacock streaming service was able to get all the girls back together for a Facts of Life reunion I’d be so happy. Even the first season girls could show up cause reunion shows are celebrations of the nostalgia and memories.
@nassauguy483 жыл бұрын
You will never see Molly Ringwald there. She was extremely bitter after being dropped from the show, and wasted no time rubbing it in when she became a big screen star. She was the only "lost girl" from Season 1 who did not attend the reunion episode in Season 8.
@Nightman221k3 жыл бұрын
@@nassauguy48 I wouldn't really mind, Molly wasn't a big enough Facts character for me to care about. If I were to do a remake I'd be satisfied with just getting the classic quartet of Natalie, Blair, Jo, and Tootie. But I gotta be honest, wonder if Molly Ringwald would feel that way still seeing as she's kind of lost her 80s star-power. The last thing I saw Molly in was the Jem live action movie; which, needless to say, was a long way from being a Breakfast Club or Sixteen Candles.

"Growing Pains".. "Different Strokes" I also loved " Beverly Hills 90210" That was probably tied with Facts of Life for my fave show ever!!!!
