Lovely seeing such wonderful buses. In this country we had such an array of many manufacturers. One of my favourites is the Harrington Cavaliers various Bristols. As a child I enjoyed travelling on a Guy bus I don't know the model, but I do remember a Red Indian chief with feathers mounted on the radiator. Upstairs there was bench seating with the aisle running along the offside. I don't know how old the buses were. I used these buses in the early 70's. I reckon they were early 1950's. The company that operated them was called Rees & Williams of Tycroes, Ammanford. I wonder if any one remembers them. The livery was chocolate brown with red and cream. They were old buses but extremely well looked after and always reliable timewise. You could set your watch by them. It now just a memory of how things were. I often wonder were they the good old days or the bad old days. But me being a romantic I like to think they were the good old days.😊

This is childhood memories for me, one of the fishing boats that brought us to my grandparents summer place in the archipelago had a hot-bulb engine. You can run them on basically anything that is reasonabkly liquid.

Sorry to say, but on Shap that engine is doing very little work at all, it most certainly is not thundering. One cylinder-cock is stuck full open, and the smoke is hardly clearing the boiler, proving that the regulator is nowhere near full open. That is a sick engine, desperately in need of some TLC. Good film though.
@EleanorPeterson3 ай бұрын
TLC? I think most people's idea of 'tender loving care' these days is an OTA [over the air] update for their bloomin' EV's battery management computer.🙄

Beautiful Locomotive. British Pacific's make me wish that there was a British 4-8-4. Would have been a fantastic looking locomotive if it had ever seen the light of day, if maybe a bit to big!
