Thank you for uploading. I do wish you respectfully advise, that this is not actually the track. There are various musical elements that are out of order. Perhaps they were scrambled during conversion? If you are interested, I can send you a link to an accurate version. I do NOT mean this as a criticism... This game was dear to my heart, and I appreciate your effort to make the track available to all of us :)
@Aeduo4 ай бұрын
Yeah it's certainly possible I misinterpreted how the order data was stored or a bug in my code caused it to be reassembled wrong. I wanted to get a version though that wasn't like, recorded through an analog output or through an emulator or other sort of audio system that would've maybe done some resampling.
@Margis64 ай бұрын
@@Aeduo Yeah i kind of wonder if it was a kind of compression. Music elements stored in one file while another file says what order to string them together in, and how often to repeat them. Maybe something like that.
@Aeduo4 ай бұрын
@@Margis6 you can check the script in the description. However it's not very useful without the original game files (probably can get from Macintosh garden or something though) and extracting them from the image (I don't remember if they're an hfs image or stuffit or something) and picking out the resource fork that the music is in. But yeah, my script could be misinterpreting something like I said. But yes, I do recall there is some compression that involves splitting up various sections of the song which repeat and deduplicates them.

I don't have any color discs. I did this because I happened upon a disc at a thrift store and was curious what was out there and found some tools that didn't work particularly well and figured out what they were doing and wrote my own. @@Aeduo I have a few wav files from the color discs I could send you. It sounds like the audio and video is kind of mixed together in the stream. That is just from hearing it. @@coondogtheman If you can somehow get those to me I could maybe see what I can do but I couldn't make any promises, otherwise I don't really have much interest in making a full on media player or anything like that, just something that gives you just enough to convert them one time.
