i like someone, a friend, and i like her for idk a year now? almost 2 years? and for some reason, despite her being uninterested with me romantically i can’t stop liking her. she’ll tell me sometimes how much she feels like we’re soulmates. she gets me, i get her, and according to her i just know what words to say, that my emotional intelligence is just what she needed. she tells me that she can find her standards on a romantic partner (emotionally) on me, and it’s a shame that she only sees me as her friend. i like her for almost two years, and when i heard what she thinks about me it felt like fields of flowers around me started withering. some caught on fire, and i’m one of them. “a soulmate who wasn’t meant to be”, maybe i am one, or maybe i’m not enough to even get close to that.
