clear PVC from McMaster-Carr. PVC is sold by inches, not sure if inside or outside diameter.

Where did you find the tubing for this?

when you say the barrel; is 2" pvc is that the outside diameter or the inside diameter? Also where did you get the piping?

I just made my second potato gun with 4 inch expansion to a 2 inch barrel and would like to make another with this clear PVC but am having a hard time finding any. The only site I found sells the 4 inch by 10 pipe for over $200. Any one know of a site that sells smaller lengths for less money?

I like the use of something interesting like a cannon to demonstrate Taguchi DOE. I also like how you have used variables that don't lend themselves to a metric (valve type for example). However, it also shows the major weakness of Taguchi methods: you spend a lot of time experimenting with phenomena that are well known: projectile motion for example. Do you think it is worth investigating some aspects theoretically (like the basic motion) to reduce experimental effort? If so, then how?
