There's a hundred ways to tell the story, I'm gonna go out in a blaze of glory There's a hundred ways to tell the story, I'm gonna go out in a blaze of glory I'm gonna go out in a blaze of glory Watch this space for something crazy Johnny won the race then he got lazy. I'm gonna go out in a blaze of glory (4x) The past is a trap, the future uncertain They wrapped my dad in a plastic curtain There's a bag on a hook, they forgot to feed us, Mama reads a book about a boy named Jesus I'm gonna go out in a blaze of glory (6x)

The most convincing performance on a pastoral set I've ever heard. Sounds very like a lower pitched set of Borders pipes in D. I can also see why pipemakers experimented with removing the foot joint in the attempt to produce a complex conical chanter that can be played either stopped on the piper's thigh, or lifted and played open - you get the ability to intersperse silences between notes and some expansion of dynamic possibilities. The end result of that experimentation is a bit like a late baroque or early classical oboe.

There's been alot of synthetic reeds made which work in practice changers and Uilleann Pipes. Before I get the bellows down to play with a dry reed, I can play the pipe Chanter with a synthetic reed. kzbin.infoRl6mTFRNKJ8?feature=share

@@fretlessdude I can fill in some blanks for you: Olivia Chaney and Zak Hobb's mum Maimuna (Richard and Linda's first child - apologies for awful spelling) together next to Linda, and Zara Phillips at the back.

@@fretlessdude - I almost missed it too because I didn't know that the Albert Hall doesn't give out announcements, as a lot of theatres do, telling the audience to take their seats. Luckily I realised the bar was empty and came in about half way through Beeswing. Thanks for posting this - let's hope someone posts the Spinal Tap/Judith Owens song (apparently she's Harry Shearer's wife!!!)
