Maybe it's because I'm from the UK and we're used to bleak jokes (Frankie Boyle, Ricky Gervais...), but some of these seem tame. "I accidentally hit a kid with my car the other day...which was annoying because I'd been trying to deliberately hit her for weeks". "I told my gf I have hearing aids. She said "that's not so bad". I said "What? Huh? No. I have hearing. AIDS." Ironically she was deaf. I signed it to her like I signed goodbye over her coffin. She went too soon. Barely 12". That's how you do dark jokes.

I'm yet to find any "mainstream" comics who can out-dark Frankie Boyle. Not an easy thing to achieve when much of his past material was essentially about rap**g kids, abusing the disabled, and murdering people. But he's proof that if done correctly, we can laugh at everything once we give ourselves over to recognizing the humor in something rather than being offended or upset by it.
