Level 3-5 is the best for farming lives, because it takes no time to get there (2 jumps at the very start xD). I never knew there was a secret in Level 1-1. It's almost as fast as 3-5, and is available at the start of the game too.

Ok say i'm doing your method and I use all the same skills your using beside sharp student and say I decide to replace it with magic skill up. Now will I be doing more damage on her by doing so or am I pushing it to much because I don't want to drop her HP where she will be healing so is sharp student really needed or no? I've fought a lot of bosses across many different series, and I have to say, aside from fromsoft games, persona absolutely nails it in terms of absolutely terrible boss design. Not all of them, of course, but there's always that one. All I've learned is that the way to beat her is "do this, specifically, or you will fail".

Interesting, I suppose this is the best thing available as a guide for the time. But I believe there's many things that should be mentioned nowadays for it. First things first, the level of the personas in tri-fusion is important. So taking the levels into account for the fusion is best. Luckily, fusion calculators also take into account Orpheus Telos' tru-fusion recipes nowadays, unlike before. The more ideal way to go about this fight in terms of personas is by doing it the original intended way. That is, create multiple personas to accomodate a part of the 8 skills she uses. Orpheus Telos seems to have made a lot of the requirements less when he was included in FES, and that's why it's popular despite being not ideal. For this strategy, having at least one extra persona like Anubis is best to deal with Insta-Kill and Ailment turns. So that Orpheus Telos isn't taking too much roles at once. And in terms of building him, it isn't much effort, just more set of skill cards. Best recipe assuming Orpheus Telos is already built is Orpheus Telos + Decarabia to create Loki. And then Loki (58-63) + Asura (85-90) + Valkyrie (11-16). This is done to preserve some stats from stat cards to be inherited from Orpheus Telos. Reducing the needed grind. As for the skills, making him all support is best. Try inheriting High Counter from Orpheus Telos when doing this. Or use skill cards if it is a hassle. The skills you want would be Mind Charge (Atropos), Unshaken Will (Asura), Null Poison (Barong), High Counter (Siegfried), Resist Slash/Strike/Pierce (bought cards from the Antique Shop), and the last skill can be whatever. Can be Enduring Soul, Regenerate 3, Salvation. The benefit of Poison not being a threat is also a great thing here. Whatever you fancy. This reduces the skills needed to be on Orpheus Telos by three (Sharp Student, Salvation, Unshaken Will). So one can add another Boost + Amp 4th tier elemental skill on him if desired. The fight is definitely not locked behind NG+ in P3P. This is done to accomodate Maniac Mode's gimmick. Sharp Student is a bit of a joke card for the game as it is essentially reducing a 5% crit rate by half. So it barely does anything. In general, the crit rate of phys attacks are low, the only exception being Deathbound when seen used by shadows. That is why it isn't used in any general capacity. Mind Charge is actually 1.9x here. Certainly an odd decision. The real purpose to using it regardless is to take a mechanic that increases damage dealt by 50% into account. I usually call it "Vulnerability" and in this case, it happens when you attack with the opposite element she used last (Fire against Ice, Elec against Wind). The Orpheus Telos made here is best against her Wind persona, as you can see with it dealing more damage to it. As for the stat cards, Onyx is the main gem to get these. The most shadows that drops this is from floors 25-36. And assuming it is an accident day in Tartarus, one can get a floor that drops more gems than usual. Another method to obtain them is from the Vision Quest doors. The lower doors giving 20 of each stat card when beaten for the first time. For the equipment, there's really not much to mention here apart from an alternative to Divine Pillar. Barbaric Bracers (Halves the opponent's hit rate by half, obtained from Chi You). One can take more damage with it objectively but it's much more worth it as this equipment manages to hit the game's dodge cap (50% or so). It also makes shock from the fight less intimidating (the shock rate is actually decently high, more than 50% if I recall right) so there's incentives with this. But in using this, the boots equipped will be important now. There is really no other option other than Shoes of Light (High Evasion against phys attacks). As the resist magic effect from Armor of Light stacks with the resist passives or innate resist of the persona equipped, having Armor of Light is very much important. In general, trying to obtain fusion spells from Vision Quest will only work in one playthrough in the savefile as it does not give it anymore after the first time. The requirement for Infinity specifically is also not very clear to many. So majority tries to obtain it with just grinding. Luckily the Strength/Fortune door also gives Pearls (one requirement for the fusion spell). Malachite can be obtained anywhere in Tartarus but the previously mentioned Onyx floors is ideal since you will be obtaining two useful gems at once. As for Armageddon, that one is definitely understood so it is easy to obtain via Vision Quest. The alternative if it isn't obtained for some reason would be beating the Hanged Man door for Ruby and grinding 99 Malachite from the Onyx floors. For getting on top of Monad, you can just bring party members, make them split up and find the stairs for you. As long as the protagonist does not move, the shadows on the floor will not attack unless they are close to your vicinity. As you said, in P3P, Elizabeth/Theodore will kick your party members out when initiating the fight. But in FES, one can simply ditch the members by making them all fight a shadow on the 9th floor and then going upstairs without them. Makes going up faster and needs less attention. Homonculi can be more easily obtained from the Luck door in Vision Quest. As it usually gives 5 of it after each attempt. The first time it is defeated, it would also give 20. More than enough for the fight. The High Counter skip is definitely ideal in terms of shortening the fight but it is not ideal in terms of the Luck it requires. From testing, I only managed to get it a bit over a handful of times out of a hundred or so attempts (Which makes sense as it requires a 20% repel rate to proc on her second move on a turn at the right time). Luckily the fight is not made with it as a requirement. Since they heal for the first time when they reach 50% HP (10K) but on the second time and onwards, it will be 30% (6K). Seems that it is intended that she goes over half health twice and then use Armageddon to kill her. The turn limit is actually 100 turns, not 80 turns. So one can have 12 Infinity for the worst case. Surt blocks Strike, Jack Frost blocks Pierce, Thor blocks Slash, Cu Chulainn blocks Strike. Everyone else but Masakado are vulnerable to all. Nebiros is resistant to phys, however. In FES, this is much more interesting as all of her phys attacks are Slash attacks in code. So only Thor and Masakado blocks it. The original fight is much more preparation intensive, but it is fun in its own right. Although the needed amount of stat cards is what makes it unfun. But it is genuinely interesting how this fight changed in all three versions, as additions per version adds something new into the mix (For FES, it's the fact that one can have a resist magic weapon and a resist phys armor, and one Plume of Dusk every playthrough. Not to mention Orpheus Telos himself. Elemental weapons are also quite handy with the right strategy. As for P3P, it's making the preperation easier in terms of fusion and stat cards grind. Buffs and debuffs being increased from 25% to 33%. Having more freedom on your stock since fusion spells have been reworked. And Messiah being buffed to be the best mage in the game due to Magic Skill Up. One Plume of Dusk every playthrough, elemental weapons, and the ability to be have resist phys and magic effect from equipments removed, however).
