Yes, I have two Robins that are also so tame it's hard to believe until you see it for yourself.

I tried feeding duck, and then I could see very closely. But It is a very hard approach to birds. Amazing!

Disclaimer for anyone reading this: If a wild bird does not flee or shy away from you in any way whatsoever, the bird probably needs help. If you encounter a situation like this, please call help. Sometimes they're fine. Most likely they're not. Help a bird out :)

It looks more like a female bluebird here in the US . Our robbins are 2 to 3 times bigger than a BB.

Remarkable. I assumed the robin must be unwell- but he seems to be ok... I guess the bird was so unfazed by you because robins just are so untimid and curious. The MOMENT I take out a fork or a spade in the garden for some work, my local robin appears- waiting on hand for any bugs or grubs that may turn up... and keeps coming right in for closer inspection. So I'm hardly ever alone in the garden. Such a tiny bird, so much gusto!

Not true, what this is sometimes when a young robin leaves the nest, they are not always ready to fly,

I have a robin that feeds from my fingers. The one in the video has obviously hit a window. In such situations, I usually get a drop of water on my finger and touch their beak with it..... they often drink it and come round sooner.

I had a similar experience with a sparrow once when I lived in a bed-sit. It flew into the open window and when I calmed down, I went over to the dresser it was on and put out my hand, talking softly to it all-the-while. Eventually, it came and sat in my hand and I took it over to the window, still sitting in my hand, and it sat there for some time before it decided to fly off.

Pity you didn't speak softly to him, the way they turn their little head to listen is a joy. They follow me in the garden and have landed on my knees while sunbathing, not to mention coming into the kitchen and perch on the back of the chair. A lovely fat little bird his redbreast is quite warming, especially at Christmas!

As always, the top voted comment is just wrong, bird was relaxed, it even almost closed his eyes when being pet, its a sign of enjoyment. Animals, just as human animal, have different personalities and this one is trusting, obviously.

That little robin is a female. The female has a V-shaped forehead (of brown feathers making a v shape at the top of her red face). She is also fairly slender. The male has a very curved U-shaped forehead, curving down above the eyes, and is more plump than the female. For several years, I had 2 robin friends in the garden, one male, one female. I sometimes could get the male to feed from my hand. It only works when you regularly feed a robin, then one day instead of putting his mealworms on a feeder, you only put them on your hand. If the robin is hungry enough he will risk feeding from your hand, as you didn't put food anywhere else. That's how I got my little male robin to feed from my hand. He would land briefly then zoom up onto the fence again, with a loud fluttering of wings.

I did the same exact thing one time (bird on a chair) in Kona at a hotel facing the beach 2011. Took me 5 years to find out the type of bird. It was a juvenile java sparrow/ java finch. Cutest thing ever and a very rare experience to approach, pick up, and pet a bird like that! When we had to go 5 minutes later, I set it back on the chair and it flew down to the railing. So it was totally ok. Knew I wasn’t a threat. Animals know! I’ll bet you will always remember that til you’re 100!❤❤❤😊
