It's why I never went to Uni and just found a job people don't want to do. I drive Buses and I earn more than 90% of univeristy graduates and zero debt and I mean that because they paid for me to get my Bus license. I get lots of university snobs get on my buses turning their noses up at me and I just laugh knowing smugly I have more money than them own my own home and will actually at some point retire. You soon learn the art of not caring driving a bus and once you learn it you're set. I get nearly 60k a year for driving about the city with zero outside of work demands. Besides the top 5% of Univeristy students if that I'm winning.

That is absolutely amazing!! I got nothing but respect for your bravery. The education of now is really one big scam. You spend years on ur life on one subject after that you are burden with debt. And trying finding a job that pays you just enough to pay ur bills. I love thinking outside the box. And what you have done is really choosing freedom and your life. I hope more people will to this in the future especially the younger generation. Thankyou so much for sharing you story🙏🏻😊😊😊

The question is who and why tf are all these people with 5 yrs of experience applying for 35k entry level jobs?
@FinancewithZara14 күн бұрын
Great question! It’s probably a mix of things-like people needing any job they can get or switching fields and starting over. It’s frustrating for everyone when experienced candidates take entry-level spots, but it also shows how tough the job market is. What do you think could help make entry-level roles more accessible?

Been working a job of some sort for the past eleven years since I was legally able to. Now I move to a new state and I can't even get hired by the goodwill to take the donations out of peoples trunk, and mind you that was with an in person interview and a tour behind the scenes. Its been fifteen months and I'm just getting tired.
@FinancewithZara14 күн бұрын
I’m so sorry you’re going through this-it sounds incredibly tough. It’s frustrating to have years of hard work and experience and still face so many roadblocks. The job market can be so discouraging, especially when even entry-level positions seem impossible to get. I hope things turn around for you soon-don’t give up! You’re not alone in this struggle, and your hard work will pay off eventually.
@dominick95114 күн бұрын
Because boomers like to think they worked so hard and want to do everything in their power to make the younger generation miserable
@FinancewithZara14 күн бұрын
I get where you’re coming from! It can feel like older generations don’t always understand the challenges young people face today. The job market has definitely changed a lot, and many of these expectations just don’t make sense for entry-level roles. I’m curious-what do you think would help fix this problem?

One lesson I learned last year is: do your research and gather many opinions/source of information. I had the chance to buy an incredible dip on TOSHI caused by October 2023's events. I didn't, in part, because I thought troubles with shipping lanes might affect my part of the world in a big way, even if temporarily. I also already had a position in the project. But as it turned out no shipping lane issues occurred to the extent I thought could happen and the price per unit of TOSHI had rebounded substantially by December 15th and then went even higher by March/April 2024. Buying the dip would've meant a lot of money to help those in need (even as I am helped to do here and there despite not being a millionaire)... and I think I would've bought the dip if I had just consulted with my dad and asked him if he thought things would get that bad. He didn't expect them to, having lived through Y2K, 9/11, 2007/8 and other major events, on top of his knowledge of history. So from a certain perspective I was just one question away from having a lot more capability to help others, rather than playing it super safe like I did. So, yeah, seemingly a big lesson in gathering opinions/consulting sources of information that one knows about or can trust to have their best intentions in mind.
