Around 2 ampere what kind of project are you building maybe i can suggest you a better solution

@@Creatingsomething I got power supply from old DVD player. It has 22V and 12V output separately and I would like to connect 300W DC-DC Buck converter and make regulated power supply for my DIY projects. But I am not sure how much ampere does DVD power supply give.

Your DC to DC buck converter is good (300w) and it's perfect for lab bench power supply But DVD Power supply doesn't work because it's Ampere is low So, the solution is If you have ATX power supply of computer Then it works perfectly It was great to talk with you. have a good day
