Yes silence. First thought I had when you zoomed out on your painting. 👏

Your art is great. Self taught. There are people who have degrees that I wouldn't let them paint my fence.

Hi Edwin, or any other artist that has a degree in art. Do you have to do any realism in your studies, or can you get a degree just doing abstract art.

Thank you. Colour is like food to me. Watching your paintings evolve is like finding a restaurant in the neighbourhood where the chef expresses love for the world through offerings of flavour, texture, composition and delight. For me your grown wisdom shows through so well. Your practices are inspiring.... this video is a symphony of the senses.

Oh MY! All those amazing ideas and the incredible paintings in our heads….then….”OH LOOK, a bee!..” Thats me So what? We end up with alot of material and I love the cropping idea and finding the composition with a view finder/a square or whatever shaped matte. I have been making messes on big sheets of gesso’d paper; then with a small rectangular window, I find interesting compositions and cut them into bookmarks! Great fun…. Thanks for sharing yourself

Thank you, Laura. It was very enlightening hearing your story and watching your process. It is also very encouraging to know that there are other artists out there who continue to try new ways of mark-making, paint different subjects, and just want to try 'everything'!

When it comes to paintings I feel there are artists who manage to put soul in their work while others just don't. Her art is gorgeous.

As an informal student of Nicholas, I am thrilled with the opportunity to see a greater selection of his work in this film. This winter I have been shrinking my canvas size, but it seems we should go bigger! ‘Iconography’ and the juxtaposition of ‘Secular Alter Pieces’ together with the visual religious symbols in some of Nick’s work, makes me want to enquire further with him. Looking forward to his Exhibition in June. Michael

Wyatt's art is so distinctive and interesting. It has depth, authenticity and great technique. I'm genuinely surprised he's not a household name.

I wonder how much stimulus for your work you would express from aerial views of place as opposed to 'being inside of'. Would same colour interpretation arise because sensed from being 'apart from'

Your approach to life is pretty much a mirror of mine. Love it. Your art is definitely joyful and skill-full. I love your use of colour and the fact that you don't just stick to one subject. I know some people say that to be successful that you need to "specialise" but I don't think that's true. Anyway, good luck this year and with your exhibition. All the best - Beverley, Australia 😎 PS, about to paint my front door Yves Klein Blue this week! 😄

Thank you so much, I am so pleased to hear that! I think it's important to feel free to do whatever you want when creating art rather than being confined to having to' specialise' in something if you don't feel like it. Yes, that blue is just amazing, your door will look out of this world! 😮 💙💙💙

Your work is probably one of the most thought-provoking and unique on this channel thus far. I love the way you make your art and the reasons behind why you make it. As a 1970 baby, we're of a similar age and therefore I'm thinking maybe that's why I'm intrigued by your process, subjects, even colour palettes etc. I look forward to finding out more about you on socials. Also, as a side-note, it was a really refreshingly relaxing and "fresh" presentation of yourself and your work. Cheers - Beverley 🇦🇺 😎

Great presentation Jennifer, it’s energizing and revealing to hear about how writing and sound worked their way into your pieces, and one can feel it after you mentioned it. You’ve created the amount of paintings in 2 years it may take another artist a decade to make. It makes me so happy to see.

Beautiful land art!! To me this form of art is always the most pure form or artistry, just a person in their surroundings, using their eye and imagination - along with usually a good amount of patience - to shape it into something of beauty, something of meaning other than practical meaning, after which the natural surrounding takes over again and the organised human art gets absorbed again. Laurence Winram seems to understand this well and makes stunning images! I especially like the colour gradient ones
