I had a 500 triple. Orange one and had contacts rather than electronic ignition. 1972. I survived but did have scary moments. Beautiful machine

Are there any mechanical differences between H1D, E and F models ? I once owned a ported KH and rode a blue H1A on one occasion but none of the three aformentioned.

H2 drool 🤤 !! Built an H1 to over 100hp in the 1980's. Rough port , 34 mm carbs w/power valve , machined adapter , shaved intake piston skirt , 60 over bore , 1/4 turn throttle , bullhorns , tail walkin TERROR !! Fun though.... most dudes couldn't ride it ! 🙄😳 Enjoy !

I remember the 1971 Kawasaki line, they looked fantastic with the " Laser Blend" paint. Still in my opinion one of the most beautiful bikes ever is the 71 H1. But they are / were all gorgeous wonderful machines in respect of the times.

I had one, would eat rear sprocket like mad due to burnouts. Bored, ramped pistons, K & N air filters. Would wind 12,000 at will. Got totaled when little old lady pulled out in front of me at night. Sure miss that bike!!!

Oregon has to be the worst place on earth to recover old machinery! Blackberry vines, Poison Ivy, Mold, Rust, Opossum's! Eastern Washington around the Palouse area is a great place to look! Dryer climate!

This Caterpillar has been in my family for years I'm restoring it from the ground up to honor of my Uncle who had one of the largest timber falling companies in the state of Oregon cutting more old growth for the bureau of land management than any other human being on Earth. My late brother and I logged with my Uncle and pulled some very large old growth with his cat.

Oh dunno. We have copperheads and ticks a plenty as well as poison ivy here. Oregon is more poison oak and timber rattlers though I have only ever seen those squished on the highway and mainly in eastern Oregon. On the east side you also have cougars which are no joke. I had an old D69U on some property over in Klickitat. It was a nice dozer. The one here is missing just a few big things. No seat/tank/pony motor/hydraulics and I bet those track adjusters are stuck hard.

Wow! That's an amazing collection! My first bike was a KH250 , then i moved up to a 1977 KH400. My current ride is a 1983 KZ750 L3. I recently became the proud owner of a barn find 1971 H1 that the original owner hadn"t driven since the 70's. He said he wiped it out coming around a corner and when it hit the power band, wheelied unexpectedly, and he ended up in the ditch. His wife took away the keys when she found out and he never drove it again. It needs a lot of tlc as the seat is eaten away by mice, the front hub is seized, but surprisingly the engine stills kicks over after sitting all those years. Cables are all ceized. I would like to restore it to roadworthy condition, but where do I start?

Never really messed with two strokes as a young man as I started out on a 65 cl77 honda scrambler and then bought new the first year green xs650 yamaha. I do own 5 or 6 two strokes now. two s series triples. a 175 Bridgestone hurricane, 500 suzuki twin and rv125 suzuki. I did have a friend that raised pigs on his farm that had an H2. His hogs got out one day and tore the hell out of his bike. Just hauled it to salvage. What a shame. Keep up the good work.

wow are you going to restore the old girl? I have a d6c 76a im working on. Also I have a s1 and a s4 i would like to rebuild. I am good on the mechanic part but both need paint. Any suggestions that doesn't break the bank.
@Fatamus3 жыл бұрын
Buy two or three at a time and the price gets cheaper and when you need parts there's a good chance you'll have the part.
