I am for lab grown. I worry too much about losing the real thing.

Whether is the quality of the diamond or the quality of the craftsmanship…you get what you pay for. If you make minimum (ish) wage, you make enough to spend $4,000 on a ring. If you make the average pay, for a college graduate, you make enough to spend $15,000 on a ring. Either way, choose to make the ring unique

Not much to think about, when thinking about a budget. LGD rings will cost about 8 tanks of gas, for a 2ct solitaire.

Don't marry someone who's so picky about the stupid ring.
@VanessaNicoleJewels3 күн бұрын
Pickiness on diamond size or style isn't relevant here, I'm simply discussing quality which *should* be important for a ring that is meant to last forever :)

I know what goes through my head, when I see someone, with a large diamond getting into a car that has a bumper attached with duct tape, so I prefer a small, less assuming diamond, which holds some trade up value. I’m going to budget, for a Natural Diamond.

So helpful! Is there a way that I can tell this granular of detail of poor craftsmanship during the design process? Would it be at the CAD part? I'm working with a jeweler soon and would hate to discover that the final product is sloppy after it's already set
@VanessaNicoleJewels5 күн бұрын
It's great to hear you found the video helpful! Thank you for your kind words! And I'm glad you found the information useful. Paying close attention during the CAD phase is crucial, as that's where many details START to come to life. Communication with your jeweler about your expectations can also make a huge difference. Being proactive about craftsmanship will hopefully save you from surprises later on. Always ask to see videos of their final work, not just images, since those can be "doctored" easier. Best of luck with your project! And if I can support you with a custom ring, feel free to reach out - we help clients all over the world. :)

Hi there! It entirely depends on various factors such as the 4C's, lab vs. natural (this one was a natural), the diamond quality we're matching on the setting, etc. I'd love to discuss the options with you based on what you're hoping for. Generally, our custom rings start at $10,000. Feel free to reach out: vanessanicole.com/contact

Next to an overly pointed Pear Diamond, the Oval is most likely to chip, so choose an Oval with a thick girdle.
@VanessaNicoleJewels5 күн бұрын
Thank you for watching! 😀 I actually find that the corners on Princess cuts & marquise cuts chip considerably more frequently compared to an Oval when worn throughout the years. Of course, the girdle thickness & ring design certainly play a role.

Do you make men’s diamond rings?
@VanessaNicoleJewels12 күн бұрын
We do on a case-by-case basis, although generally we focus on the type of diamond rings you see in my videos. The kind of men's bands we've made in the past typically have a horizontally set center stone.

There is nothing "unnatural" about a diamond grown in a lab. Mined, or Earth Grown, are the correct terms for a diamond formed in the earth and mined, not "natural".
@VanessaNicoleJewels24 күн бұрын
I hear you - thank you for clarification of proper terms. Many clients refer to them as "natural". But yes, the proper terms are mined or earth-grown. Often clients don't like the connotations of the previously unethical mining practices, and earth-grown doesn't quite flow off the tongue as easily as "natural." :)
