Hi Rajat - you inadvertently gave wrong explanation of discounted cash flow method. It means discounting future cash flows at present value. Let say I am going to earns 10 crores in next 5 years and then i will discount that cash flow to arrive at the present value of 10 crores (10 crore ki aaj kya value hai). Hi Vikas, you are absolutely right. Trying to keep it simple, i gave the wrong definition of DCF. Will try making a detailed video to cover specifically this method.

7:54 quite strange that sarthak ahuja has mentioned that in this similar case that if A n B have 50 % shares each n now C wants 20 % equity then the revised structure will be : A = 50% B = 50% C= 20% ------------ Total = 120% So in reality C hold 20/120 = 16.67% in the company... But what you explained is what the layman understands by default ki A n B dono 10 % dega aur C ko 20% miljaega...ismei kya hi naya baat hai sbko pata hai... But in still confused who is right😢😢

You have explained DCF wrongly! Discounting is not the concession applied. It is the factor of Time Value of Money that brings the Future Cash flows to Present value.
