Looking great 🚜👍 noticed she was breathing I have a JCB 1135 with 6000 hrs that's only been doing light work and it's breathing heavy been told it could do with some hard work are these Perkins engines prone to breathing ,thanks
@fastrac00552 жыл бұрын
Hi sorry for my delayed response, yes they do breath a bit heavy and hard work is supposed to help clear them out. Mine had done about 70hrs on a full engine rebuild so I don’t think it should breathe as heavy. But maybe it needs some real hard work

i have just emailed about an ed mod 155 a few hours ago mainly out of curiosity. do they want the kind of going rates for the tractor or cheaper ex mod prices ? i have a 155-65 and i know how much it is worth ...but it doesnt have under 1000 hrs on the clock ! was amazed to see that

Lovely looking tractor , you have done a great job on her , I used to driver the 13th one build , even the number plate added up to 13 , J904 KBJ was a lovely tractor I used it to haul timber and woodchip . We changed the wheels for the larger new model ones , pulled like hell off road , and totally flew on the road when empty. Took a little while to get up to the higher speeds , but was very stable and rode so well , wish I had one now , thanks Mark
@fastrac00552 жыл бұрын
Thx Mark, I used to drive them with the biggwer wheels on & 65k box. We did all primary cultivations for spuds and corn no bother. These early ones do have a bit of a following now.

Thanks, a lot of work went into her. Yes she has electric windows. There is no rushing the box that’s for sure! Even with a refurb it’s like stiring a barrel of bolts 😀 Even the successor, the selectronic box was much smoother and quicker.

Hello there, I love the job you have made restoring your Fastrac it's a great job a real credit to you 👍🏻. I need some advise on paint codes if you could be as kind... I'm restoring a 1995 Fastrac 185-65 & need to know the codes for the, Yellow, Black, Silver & Grey? Kind regards Edward
@fastrac00552 жыл бұрын
Thanks Edward and sorry I missed this comment. The yellow is call JCB New Yellow (2k) and for the grey I used 2K ACRITOP LS155 CODE: N9422 NEW MASTER CHROMA STANDARD.. the chassis I used a 1k gloss black from Churchill paints. If I did it again I’d go 2k but there is a huge difference in cost, I used 7 litres of something like that. Wheels I used a 2k silver recommended for truck wheels, won’t matter so long as they all match. Black primer for the grey and white for the yellow.

The 185-65 had a real fancy gearbox you had to be careful on changing the gears smoothly or it could cause real problems is the 145 the same.?
@fastrac00552 жыл бұрын
It’s a old truck style gearbox so there is no rushing it. The 125/ 145 box is probably less smooth than the later model like you mention.

@fastrac00553 жыл бұрын
They came to market in 1991 with the 125 and 145, both 80k and had the grey bonnet a 65k option was later available. The line up expanded to included a 150 for EU markets. I think it was around 93/ 94 they released a refreshed line up with the 135, 155 with the selectronic gearbox and moved to yellow bonnets. The flagship 185 was added some time after which had a Cummins engine.

@fastrac00553 жыл бұрын
I was really unsure about it, whether I should get it coated to look like the original. I’ve had a few comments on it now so it was right to leave it stainless. I bought it from Arms Plant, he has them made up.
