I'm probably going to trade in my Honda for a frontier, did a lot of research and wanted to upgrade to a pickup, this seems to be the last of its kind for a decent midsize truck at its price range. All the newer pickups have 4 cylinder turbos which I'm not a fan of so nissan sticking with the V6 sure is a smart move and it sure does look amazing.

Toyota shot themselves in the foot with a turbo engine. That's a German burnup the engine deal that won't last. Toyota deal did a terrible move. I see more Toyota tacomas on lots than ever since turbo 4 cyl ( Tacoma) & 6 cyl turbo in Tundra . Thank you Toyota for increasing Nissan more on the road. Both trucks are good but Toyota not good now for sure.

Nissan trucks are BEST small trucks. I have a 2007, 2017, & new 2024. I always changed my oil every 5,000 miles. 2007 has 323,000 miles on it, 2017 has 192,000 miles. MOBIL 1 O-20W always been my oil. I was Castrol & changed over because Mobil 1 Synthetic is best. No complaints. Always changed my plugs & drivebelt @100, 000 miles. Brakes as needed. Usually last about 60-70,000 miles. Oil & tire rotations is the main thing over 100,000 miles. Change automatic trans fluid @every 30,000. My first 2 trucks are 5 speed manual. New is automatic. 9 speed trans is different but smooth. I don't like that the engineer took the fan off the engine. It was better that way. In future, I will have to replace dual fans separated from engine. Not a long lasting move from engine. Overall, Nissan trucks are OUTSTANDING.

I used to use 20K mile oil made by Amsoil in a ford I had but I could never go that long. I was afraid my dad would haunt me. I once wrecked my bicycle and needed stitches but dad changed his oil before going to get stitches. It was due! Honestly full synthetic oil I change at 5K.

Another issue I dislike is when I push the button on door handle to lock the truck, it doesn’t lock the tail gate. So, I just use the remote to lock everything. I dislike this because it doesn’t make sense. Everything should lock using door handle button.

There is a TSB to reprogram the transmission and it is free at the Dealership and this fixed my issue. Mine was so bad, the whole truck would shake when it's revving. FYI: Nissan is the first company to offer back-up cameras. It is also the first to come up with 360 camera (called Around-view monitor) So I guess sometimes if you go first, then newer cars will have better quality cameras.

Some weird complaints here. The push to start thing is totally normal. Every vehicle with push to start requires the foot to be on the brake. You must have a heavy foot because I’ve always gotten over 18 mph in town without a tonneau cover. There is already a software fix for the cruise control you can get at the dealer for free. Lastly he tinging it does when cooling down……every car does this and who cares haha.
@DoItYourselfDoItRight
@DoItYourselfDoItRight 18 күн бұрын
My complaint with the remote start isn't that you have to touch the brake.... it's that if you forget to "start" it and touch the gear shift, the truck completely shuts off. All of my other cars and all of the rental cars that I've had don't shut off, they just don't let you do anything but continue to run. It's just an annoying feature. Btw my cruise has been updated and it does work better, it's still not smooth like my gfs subaru or the multiple Rams that I've rented for work but it's not as violent as it was and all three of those Rams have gotten better gas mileage so I don't think it's my heavy foot. I'm beginning to think there is something wrong with my truck.

I have a 2022 Frontier 4X4 The only few things I don’t like are the drivers side door locking when I get out and it’s running. I also don’t like having to press the brake every time I stop and put it in park, the back up camera is okay until it rains and then the picture is so distorted you might as well stick your head out to back up.

Had Rams a long time, since 2000. Owned 3. A 99’ 05’ and now my 2020 Longhorn. Prices have gone thru the roof. My 2020 fully loaded except air ride was 63k. But unlike my 05 that lasted 15 years, I’ve taken proper care of he 2020. I live in Pittsburgh, PA, so undercoating is a must. I’ve also put ceramic coatings on the truck as well. There’s been very little maintenance other than changing oil, rotating tires regularly. Imagine, I was able to get 15 years out of my 05, with less than what I’m doing to my 2020. So I’m figuring to get a lot longer outta this one. If Ram can things turned around under Tim Kuniskis after Carlos Tavares screwed thongs up, maybe, just maybe the prices will come down some. I love my Ram and I hope that if things do go in the right direction under the new CEO, maybe you’ll find yourself in a Ram as an owner and not a rental. Nice video.

Two things: 1. Auto Start/Stop is basically e-Torque. There's a large Lithium battery behind the back seat. It supplies power to start the engine and provide driveline power for the first second or so from the STOP condition. It is not continuous. The battery is kept charged by the electric motor working in reverse during regenerative braking. 2. You can get a pistol grip shifter on some models. Of course, you can't get it with the executive console like in the video.

I own a 2021 Nissan frontier. I love my truck. I have cruise control but adapative I have to press a button. I have never done that and never will. My truck is a utility vehicle and I have had to get used to Rack and pinion steering. My last truck was a 2001 Ford Ranger XLT. I had a 6 cylinder 4WD and I drove it for 20 years and had 300K miles. The hissing after you shut off the truck is just what a truck does. I am 71 years old and I figure that this is my last vehicle.

That’s the truck for me. I don’t need all the bells and whistles and ass seat warmer since I live in Florida. Just need a truck to get me from a to B and do some work out. Don’t need four doors, but I do need a 6 foot bed, all this truck is now my go to. Tacoma was going to be the one, but they changed the engine and have issues now has not been long life tested.
