That Micrometer is inaccurate from the get-go. The zero line on the thimble should line up exactly with the zero on the sleeve. On this mic the sleeve needs to be moved round (using the supplied wrench) until they line up. If you are going to teach how to use an instrument start by learning how to adjust it to zero it out.

So no graph plotted of voltage against current showing the linear relationship between voltage and current. So you are not really teaching Ohms Law properly. You are just teaching how to apply the formula. And this is why the kids don't understand electronics properly and I-V curves.

I'm a retired GM trained ASE Master Technician who retired as an Automatic Transmission Specialist trained at the Atlanta GM Training College. Re: The "pink" fluid. ATF has a red dye in it that is temperature sensitive. If it gets too hot the dye is destroyed and it becomes brown. Too much heat destroys the fluid's ability to lubricate. ATF also has the most powerful detergents in the business and they get destroyed by the heat as well and turned into varnish. Always replace ATF if it is not nice and red. Re: Engine coolant in the ATF. This only happens if the radiator goes bad. There's a cooler for the ATF built inside one of the side tanks of the radiator. Usually it doesn't require rebuilding the transmission but it does mean you must replace the radiator and all of the fluid in the trransmission. Most auto shops have a way of changing the ATF without removing the pan that's called a "line flush" and it will replace all of the ATF. I would recommend first replacing the filter and then doing a line flush after inspecting the inside of the filter to see if much damage has been done to the clutches. All that, of course AFTER the radiator has been replaced first.

Differential gaskets a similar to card stock paper also.

Are there not replacement differential gaskets? If so, what’s the benefit to silicone over the oem gasket?
@jayhales67692 ай бұрын
You can buy differential cover gaskets if you want. The parts store didn't have one available for us to use. The best gasket sealer to do this job is made by permatex the Right stuff. It has a cure time of 1 minute and don't have to wait up to 24 hours for the gasket material to cure. Working for Dodge we used silicone on all our differential covers. Make sure you let it cure before adding differential fluid. Hope this helps.

The manufacturer actually recommends not using rtv when using the synthetic fluids in the axle - many styles of gaskets are available, lube locker maks a fantastic gasket that comes off easily the next time and is reuseable
