Notice Brosnan's Irish accent coming through at 1:45. Also loved the way that Bond refers to Q as Quartermaster until he is impressed by the car. By the end, he's Q - he's earned Bond's respect as the successor to Desmond Lewellyn's Q.

It's only a film but it's amazing how this scene alone portrays what Great Britain is all about and the reason that sub consciously other country's still won't fuck with us. They just don't know 😆

John Cleese had a very big pair of shoes to fill succeeding Desmond Llewelyn as the new Q. I don't think his comedic style really gelled with the franchise. It feels like the chemistry between him and Brosnan just wasn't there.

Can I just say it was a crime that we didn't get any more films with John Cleese as Q? I know no one can top Desmond Llewelyn, but Cleese sells the "pissed off civil servant" type pretty well. He and Bond get some surprisingly good banter, which probably would've gotten less stilted as time went on.

This ALMOST makes the Lotus submarine car from TSWLM look believable. This is the WORST Bond in the entire franchise.I should have walked out of the theater after this scene, but I must be a masochist. I stayed to the end. An embarassment and a slap in the face for any true Bond fan.

I just realized there some Nods back to the Old Connery Era of the Bond Movies here! when James Bond is looking at the Old Relics I Noticed the Jet Pack from Thunderball, and the Shoe with the Pointer that James Sniffs is from Russia with Love, and I wanna say the Vanish Car is also a Nod to Goldfinger IT'S NOT THE EXACT CAR!!!!! James Bond got a DB5 in Goldfinger but the Gadget from the Car were put in the Vanishing Car although I think this Car has more from that the DB5 too!

I don't have a favourite Bond. I liked them all and thought one of them could not possibly have done all the movies because of the timescale... it is a relatively young mans role so you really can't use one man in all of them. I do hope they don't try to get fancy and have a female 007. Most people such a move would appeal to don't watch Bond and those that do love Bond would be alienated by such a woke move. Stick to the stories and the universe created for the Characters. If you want an orange haired lesbian Asian woman as a hero then create a franchise for her, don't ruin an existing one to pander to extremists who fundamentally don't like the genre and fantasy myth that is Bond.
