Ive seen the melvins more times than i can count and they always crush it live! I miss big business lineup with two drums but coady is happy in high on fire at the moment! \m/

Dale is such an unsung hero of drummers. I first saw Melvins back in 1986 when Dale played in his underwear.

Agreed. It's kind of sad what this social media garbage has done to our attention spans. Regardless, I still love to listen to 10+ minute long DT songs.

i love how Jason is like talking to Hunter S. Thompson, he's just pedal to the metal, talking about petuitary glands and cocaine with The Scorpions, Van halen etc then making everything this hilarious life or death festival of hierarchies and the absurdity he was confronted with. I love it

Nice to hear the boys speaking so highly of Phil. Phil's had his rough patches, and theres always so much speculation when he's not on tour .. pretry clear from this interview that he's welcome behind the kit when he can.

Love the podcast, Dean! I'm as much a nerd for comedy as I am music, so it's great seeing my favorites interviewed by someone well-informed that can also riff with them. Just watched your episodes with Jordan and Mike Portnoy, and I think Mikael Akerfeldt would also make for a great conversation. The other one I thought of was David Coverdale. I notice you already did, so I'm off to check that one out next!

I remember hearing a conversation between my older brother and his friend Rick , who were in a band together and rock fans with a passion for music. My brother said ' have you heard the cat that is singing for ACDC on the new record? - he's like Dan McCafferty ! ' I didn't know til years later who ACDC or McCafferty were but I eventually found out that my brother was right .

Another great interview, Dean! Coming up as a musician, Dream Theater was one of those bands that would make you want to quit because they are so good at what they do. Quick rec for you Dean. You probably already have heard them but, they're killer just the same. A band called Voivod out of Canada. Like a thrash prog mesh of ugly beauty. Cheers!
@deandelray8 күн бұрын
O yes I know Voivod quite well. I’ve seen them twice and remember my boy Jason Newsted played with them for awhile. Glad you dig the episode

Just heard Dean delray on burr, I’ve heard his name thrown around but this is my first time actually cruising his content. Dude is just pretty funny, and the MFer can sing. All around talented. And good for burr. Dude is all around talented as well. It’s motivating just to “learn” how to do more shit. Life can get dull doing the same shit

AT one OF OUR SHOWS there w/ THE Mighty JETBOY... from sacto based PANTHER i got a great remake i did of REPTILE yea i did it and still doing it.... .JIM remember doing that show in berkley day on the dirt ..? oooo i got the real stories of ROCK & ROLLAS .. JIM ya missed Rick Mayo in the line up..LOVE THAT GUY ..COOL interview..guys
@JamesHume-z8f7 күн бұрын
Hey bro...good memory. I'm flattered that you're fuck'n around with Reptile. Tear that shit up! Mayo was a tripper and I/we have a lot of stories. He became an evangelist preaching the sins of rock 'n' roll. You wanna talk about stories...I don't know why Dean and I didn't talk about The HOGG. Endless stories of debauchery. Metallica was terrified of him (insert laughing emoji)

Hello Dean, Lately I have made it a habit to listen to your show as I cook in the evening and early morning. Your sense of humor and energy brightens my day. We live in a time where people cannot help but feel isolated from those around them. They try to laugh, realizing that if they stop laughing, they may as well be dead. Humor is part of the life force. Thanks for your hard work.
