Make a new handheld after they easily gave up support on the PS Vita. Not easy to forget that cause i bought 2 of them. If they can't commit to at least 10 years on their handheld product i doubt i'll buy one from them again.

I bought it on Black Friday at Amazon. According to the price history, Black Friday is the first sale it's ever had ($60 down to $50). A day after I bought it, they sold out of physical copies. I ended up 100%ing it in 3 days. Praying they make a sequel.

We aren’t getting enough new games. Pointless incremental upgrades waste everyone’s time and money.

There’s a lot of reasons why I don’t like the remake trend but a major issue for me is that i still play a lot of these older games on their original consoles. And it’s a main reason why I don’t care about the latest game console generations. There are no new IPs or games that I’m interested in playing and I’m not going to buy the latest console to play my old games that still play just fine on their original consoles. My thinking is that if these companies weren’t relying on old games to make their money they would be forced to create new fun and innovative games that would make me want to get a new console. I actually sold my PS4 simply because there were no games that I wanted to play on it that I couldn’t play on my ps3. Crazy to drop all that money on a new console just to find out there are no games worth playing on it. Then sell it for half of what you paid.

I do not consider it a waste of resources because developers need a project to train on. Every remaster is a great opportunity for developers to learn how to work with new hardware (PS5 Pro) and tools. It would be a waste ONLY if they didn't release the results of their work to gamers. I am a big fan of The Last of Us and I will gladly pay for every new best version of the series. I don’t care if it's called a remaster or remake, and if it was remastered in the past already. And lastly it's not up to gamers to decide what's needed and what's unnecessary. As a game developer I would take every chance of improving my precious title, no matter how many times because I simply love what I created.

I liked both of those games and own them. I played Horizon Zero Dawn twice and Last of Us 2 once on PS4. I will probably play Forbidden West again and Last 2 again, but not buy either the PS5 or the remasters. I usually like to wait for prices to go down and for the second hand market. I would love a new Playstation hand held. I've used the PSP and PSVITA Slim absolutely loved both. Though considering how they abandoned the Psvita I doubt they will be getting back into making hand helds anytime soon.

I would fucking love a PlayStation hand held. Not the one that requires the actual ps5. I play a lot of games on my tablet now with my PlayStation controller connected to it. And I literally have not been playing my PlayStation at all for the past couple of years it's just been sitting here collecting dust I get kind of bored with the very easily nowadays. if I had a PlayStation handheld I will still be on the game everyday like I used to

There's absolutely no need for another handheld console. The market is highly saturated with them. Steam Deck, Asus Rog ally, Lenovo Legion Go etc.... These are for non-exclusives. And then the Switch is there with a bunch of exclusives. Sony would need a bunch of good exclusives too to be able to sell it. Which they don't have enough. Also, if they made PS5 games playable on the new handheld, then the PS Portal would be a direct competitor. Which is not selling well. I don't think anything is coming. It would fail faster than the vita did.

DS vs PSP: 150 million vs 80 million units sold. 3DS vs Vita: 75 million vs 15 million units sold. Switch: 140 million and counting. yeah, i'd be up for watching sony fail for a 3rd time haha.

If Sony want a new handheld to succeed they’d better properly support it and not leave it out to dry like they did with the Vita (that system was an AMAZING piece of technology. I bought a modded one recently, and people have been able to make the system reach its full potential. Also, when you shutdown a storefront you kind of deserve the mass piracy that follows no longer officially distributing games). We’re also in a post Switch and Steam Deck world. Both of those have fundamentally altered how people look at handhelds (especially since the Steam Deck is an open ecosystem that allows you to not just play Steam games, but games from other storefronts, and emulation).
