Abdullah ibn Hawalah narrated from the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) that he said: "Matters will run their course until you become three armies: an army in Sham (Syria), an army in Yemen, and an army in Iraq". Ibn Hawalah said: "Choose for me, O Messenger of Allah! in case I live to see that day". The Messenger of Allah said "You should go to Sham, for it is the best of Allah's lands, and the best of His slaves will be drawn there! And if you refuse, then you should go to the Yemen and drink from its wells. For Allah has guaranteed me that He will look after Sham and its people!" (Imam Ahmad 4/110, Abu Dawud 2483. Peace, my friend. I'm a Christian and former Muslim and I wanted to share a little bit of an insight from a Christian perspective as to your point about the purification of Christ's sacrifice and its relation to good deeds. The purification that Christ Jesus offers us doesn't excuse us from doing good deeds, bit rather it changes our reason for doing them. Before the Jesus, the good deeds under the law were meant to be in the same context that Islam views them today, as a means of making up for or paying penance for our bad deeds. After the sacrifice of Christ, good deeds no longer purify us as we have as you said already been made pyre. Now the good deeds are done out of love to our Father and serve to bring His love to this earth through them. It's a difference of view on what is the source and what is the fruit. If the source is our works and purity the fruit, then it withers away with the life of a man as we aren't eternal. When the source is the purity we have in Christ and the fruit of our works grows from that, then there is a deeper meaning behind them. But even our Bible in the book of James tells us that faith without works is dead, not meaning that our faith comes from our works but that true faith will always produce good works not out of a need to be further purified, but out of love shared through and with God in Christ Jesus. The truth only comes from Allah SWT and Rasulullah SAW. May we be guided in the right path and free from the deviations of ulama'. Any ulama' / mufti / syekhs / ustadz disagrees with this revelation, please begin first with a Mubahalah Creed in speaking the truth before you utter any word.
