another great tutorial! You were a little hard to hear at times and the synth was quite loud. I found myself having to adjust the volume a few times so I don't upset the neighbours.

Super cool. Really need to do a single sample challenge. I find even with just factory sounds and maybe one or two packs I can easily get lost, and land on samples that aren't particularly 'performative' and fall apart. I like this approach as a way of real forcing sound design and pushing a single sample. Do you find once / if you start arranging, it gives you a better perspective on the more performative elements of a track when you're limited to one sample?
@AbreOjos648 күн бұрын
Single sample challenge is super! I'm always looking for performance options as I'm building and 'control all' is an easy back up 🤓 Because I'm usually only using a single pattern then muting is the other thing.

is it possible to add offset the drum for a bit of swing or groove? Maybe layer multiple kicks?

Fo sho! I'm playing with minimal notes for the slow doom, but with 16 tracks on this thing anything is possible 🤘

Thanks for the info.. I absolutely love this machine.. quick question do you know how to make horn sounds on the digitone 2? I’m trying to piece together some hip hop & reggae tracks & I need some horns.

About the kick default note and the Euc sequencer: you can just just change the default note in the trigger page, instead of parameter locking the note on all 16 step. Oh and keep doing nice sounds

Video Feedback within resolume or u using any hardware?
@ThomBa23Ай бұрын
Sry, I could have done first a bit research. Luckily u got a video that explains your whole Set Up😅 Thx for that! And keep up the good work! (The Entropy and Sons is really a beast. I try to avoid kaleidoscope whenever I can. But this piece of hardware seems to handle it pretty in such a nice way that I might rethink that😂)
@AbreOjos64Ай бұрын
You saw the walk through. Yep it's a physical feedback loop with Sony ZV1 & a monitor. Computer feedback has a few more options to zoom, rotate etc on the fly but I still like the idea of adding a physical feedback element in.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I think the high pass has that effect on the kick because a cut is far more aggressive (+/- 6dB) than the peak on the eq so combining that cut with a resonant peak boost introduces phase distortion and on top of the resonant peak?
@AbreOjos64Ай бұрын
Thanks for explaining that! I'm always learning! Do you use this technique? I was using this HP thing on the Syntakt as well and it was a quick way to make the kicks bigger/boomier but I feel the EQ makes it bigger but without the boomier giving more frequency space for other things 🤘
