Ive been addicted to almost everything and beat it but this is a different monster all together. Im already late in life and i believe if you have any kind of major depression issues or anything like that you will get hooked to these in a flash. These are no joke because they are just as readily available as alcohol, perhaps even more available

Lol same story here there extremely addictive especially combing dxm with dph. I would steal a bottle of delsym and 400 pills dph 25mg each and take 30 pills with the bottle and fry my brain.

WOA there is a pill to stop DXM? Will look into this. I been using this stuff since I was a teen on and off but heavy the past couple years. However, there are no reports describing the effects of chronic abuse long term that I could find on the medical the NIH medical journals and those brain legions was disproved. So I would say DXM is not that harmful in those aspects, if you take DXM with just DXM as the main ingrediant. This is not to advocate it's use. I am still hooked on this crap, though when I take it I do feel normal and have better focus, though not always. Weed stopped working so I turned to DXM as a teen. Whoever reads this, NEVER take coricidins, you can die from those unlike DXM only cap gels ect. I almost died on them after ODing, never had this with DXM only products. You can bleed from your pores/eyes from coridcidins as a side effect when abused. DXM causes sexual disfunction, numbness, not fun side effects though not permanently.

Hello brother. I am currently going through this. I've been through this multiple times and yes brother ppl do NOT understand and we don't compare ourselves to those who've been through other things. Addiction isn't something you can compare. We've all been through it so anyone who says that are still missing a step in their own recovery. We do not compare, we accept and cherish and embrace ourselves to keep pushing forward. This is not easy. But damn, we do it for ourselves. F anyone who wants to compare... God bless you brotha man

i quit 3 months ago, was addicted for a long ass time, my story is fucking insane, i was 12 years old, addicted to nicotine and smoking weed and occasionally taking opioids and other pills, i got addicted to dxm almost immediately, it felt like the best thing ive ever felt, just comfort, everything felt okay, i was extremely depressed and way too young to be doing the stuff i was doing, almost everyone who knew me knew i might not make it another year, i would pop 10-16 coricidin every single fucking day, i was mentally abusive and rarely physically abusive to my girlfriend especially (were still dating to this day) and i was slowly killing myself, got to the point i couldnt wear a tank top because i always wear a tank top under my shirt and i had to take it off everytime i took it because i couldnt breathe very well, it got to the point i felt my body failing on me, and its honestly a miracle im here writing this comment. dxm addiction is serious, people dont realize that because its legal and you can find it everywhere, but its highly addictive, i watched my girlfriend become a mild addict, it can take your friends, family, your perception of reality. and your life. stay away from this shit.

I can relate. Glad you made it too. I took 16-24 regularly through high school. I liked escaping my life and I felt like I had mastered DXM but I was really dying

Triple cs are dangerous. You are better of with medicine only containing dxm as an active ingredient. It’s important that people know that because it will cut down on fatalities.

Btw he says DXM is a morphine derivative which is true, but he's wrong it's a partial opioid. It does affect opioid receptors but it's about 700 times less potent than morphine, so not really significant at all. That means to equal a 30mg dose of morphine you need 21,000 mg of DXM which would fucking kill you. Now Dextrorphan (DXO) is 3 times stronger an opioid but still, hundred of times less potent than morphine.

I’m 7 months clean from DXM which I thought was impossible before. DXM was a drug that slowly but surely kept reeling me in, i fell into a obscure place in that addiction. And addiction is so powerful that even after being clean this time, I still feel like using here and there because I partly miss that experience. I hope this guy is okay

Hey Zach, my name is Liam. I am 27 years old and I have schizophrenia. I do not know if it was caused by drugs that I have done but there is research that suggest it is possible. I started smoking weed when I was 16 years old and I eventually was doing other drugs too. Though, I never was addicted to cough medicine I had a friend who was. His name is Billy. He would go to stores and steal Robo and try to get high. I noticed how he started being high on it at school and that was when I knew that something was wrong. Well, I do not know how he is doing today, I know my story and what brought and is still bringing me hope to this day. Jesus Christ. He died for all of us sinners and is there for you. I know He loves you and was crucified to be with you for eternity. He died for us sinners. He took our inequities and they were buried with him in the tomb. Though, unlike what the devil wants of people like you and me who have come close to death, He wants life for eternity with us. He does not want us to die not knowing he is our Lord and Savior. The Devil wants us to die without knowing Jesus so that way we have to be a slave to him forever. But Jesus was resurrected from the tomb and ascended to Heaven. The only man to die and go to Heaven is Jesus. If you can say in your heart and believe with your lips that Jesus is Lord and ask him to come into your life, he will be with you and he will never leave you. I pray right now that Jesus hears your suffering and the story you said on here and reaches out and takes you into his arms and loves on you like you have never known. In Jesus name. The name above all names! Love you Zach, I love how you put yourself out here and were vulnerable for the whole world to see. God hears everything we do, and I know God's heart is sad knowing that your struggling. That is because God loves you more than you could ever know. He knows how many hairs are on your head. And he knows everything about you. Jesus is standing at the door, and he is knocking. 7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. Matthew 7:7-8
