Will only the host/supervisor can create an online application log in? Or researchers can also start application by sign in on portal? is it not possible to initiate application login process on behalf of the host/supervisor?

Form A will be automatically created by adding detail ? Form B have to download and should fill out in pdf version out of system. Once I complete Form B then I should upload Form B by logging back into the online application? Is it the way? If yes then from where I have to download form b template? Is it also have to download from the same application site? Or there is other official link outside of your application?

Hi Vasilis, each MSCA doctoral network will specify the eligibility criteria for the positions they offer. In general though, there is no age limit.

I wonder how many winning applicants are from outside the EU. I suspect there is a lot opportunity for cronyism in the selection process. It is easy to see from past rejections that the winning applicants were actually returning to the host country though they met the minimum requirements of residency in another (often adjacent) EU country.

The whole idea of the MSCA Postdoc fellowships is to allow researchers to develop a comprehensive set of skills and expertise by collaborating with researchers in different countries and different sectors. The proposals are not evaluated by the funding body but by expert panels i.e. scientists with expertise in the specific scientific field. Evaluators come from all over the world. If you think you have what it takes perhaps you want to put your name down too: euraxess.ec.europa.eu/worldwide/asean/horizon-europe-join-database-independent-experts Your suspicion of cronyism is misguided.

(1) If someone defends his PhD thesis before 30 sept, 2021 (as in my case), is he eligible to apply? (2) what is the criteria of 8 year experience really means? is it a miximum limit. pleasae clarify.

At the date of the call deadline the applicant must hold the PhD degree. He/She doesn’t need to have the certificate itself, but successful defence of the PhD thesis must have taken place. At the call deadline, the applicant must have a maximum of 8 years full-time equivalent experience in research since obtaining the PhD degree. Years of experience outside research and career breaks, e.g. due to parental leave, won’t be taken into account.

the last date of submission i saw some where as 12 Oct 2021. but i heard you saying some time in 15 september. is this different funding?

The deadline for this year's call (2021) is 12 October 2021. The deadline for the 2022 call will likely be earlier again around mid September.

The deadline for this year's call is 12 October. If you hold a PhD at that time you are eligible to apply. Please note that this is an annual call so you can apply next year.

Can I apply again with the same proposal this year that I applied to last year, with amendments as per the evaluator's comments? I had a score 73 in MSCa 2020.

Why the new 8 year post-PhD limit under Horizon Europe? If applicant numbers are really an issue as mentioned at 24:40, why not follow the ERC Grant method of disallowing applicants with poor scores from preceding years? A core MSCA aim is to foster the career development and further training of researchers at ALL career stages. The proposed cut-off goes against this aim; it is age discrimination.

As you mention scholars with more than 8 years of research experience are eligible to apply for an ERC Starting Grant. You can use the tool here (rea.ec.europa.eu/system/files/2021-08/Guidelines_8%20year%20rule_FINAL.pdf) to calculate if you are eligible to apply with a view to the 8 year cut off.

@@ML-pe2kq As you may know, years of experience outside research and career breaks will not count towards the above maximum. This includes for example, maternity / paternity leave. Please do explore the ERC opportunities or perhaps the various national postdoctoral schemes offered by other MSCA-funded projects (e.g. COFUND) or those funded by national funding agencies of the EU MS. The Euraxess portal lists over 2000 postdoc offers at the moment: euraxess.ec.europa.eu/jobs/search/field_research_profile/recognised-researcher-r2-447
