i love the fact that the end has hopeful music playing rather than menacing music, showing the depth in the characters (specifically zira), how it may look like she's evil just for the craic, but in reality she just wants a better life

i think that zira talking to scar was a great moment. since the movie's premice is "we are one" and right before that we see rafiki talking to mufasa and later simba doing the same thing, it plays out really well, portraying that both families tend to speak to the spirit of their loved ones. and i also love how it shows that even though they're similiar, they're different nonetheless, since scar does not answer

They probably deleted this one because "That's my Lullaby" replaces all the dialogue here.

Ah I see why they changed this here, they ended up giving Zira a musical number and used the animations where she mentions him not being Scar's son, so they had to make the distinction here that he feels personally rejected by proxy even though they weren't related

I liked the idea of Zira, Queen of Scar, and how they introduced us to Kovu as a friendly cup ♡♡♡

Notice how Zira completely ignores Nuka while him and Vitani race back saying they saw Simba's cub, asking, "VITANI, what did you see?" rather than something like "what did you two see?" I know this is deleted but it really appears to make Nuka look like the black sheep and how low Zira thinks of him.

I think people who say that Kovu is Scar's son should realize that if he was actually his biological son that would make Kovu and Simba cousins and Kovu would be Kiara's second uncle (meaning your parent is the other one's cousin) and that would make it a little weird for your cousin to be dating your daughter

Zira's expression is something incredible. I adore her!

You know this also shows that Kopa was around when Vitanti said “Simba’s new cub is a girl”

Interessant ist ja wirklich der Punkt, dass Scar auf irgendeine Weise Kovu bevorzugte der nicht sein Sohn ist - und ihn als Erben haben möchte. Und damit so agiert wie es sein Vater tat. Scar hätte Erbe sein sollen - Mufasa wurde es! Vielleicht hätte sich der Konflikt wiederholt nur diesmal Nuka (= Scar) gegen Kovu (= Mufasa)

It's very bad that they deleted it. That scene is so incredibly important to the movie. - It's more clearly stated that Kovu is not Scar's son (even if it was initially planned). Many viewers still haven't realized that it was said twice in the film. - Simba's "new" cub?! (YES, I know about Kopa but Disney didn't created him.) - Scar's most loyal follower. So it proves that Zira and Scar really knew each other. (There are some fans who actually doubt this). - And I wish there was a slightly bigger age difference between Kovu and Kiara. Kovu is not much bigger than Kiara, so unfortunately it's not entirely clear. But here you can clearly see that Kovu was probably already born (baby) when Simba returned to PrideLands. And much more. It's really a shame that this is not in the movie.

This scene was needed for this movie. It sets the tone well for the characters instead of throwing them in like they did. It's a shame this ended up not making it. Would've made the movie feel better.

Its beautifully animated, yes, but there is WAY too much info dumping in theis scene. Makes it look more like a fanfiction. I'm glad they left it out. Too much information kills the subtleness and makes things boring. In the final version, you find out about the relationships between the pridelanders alongside with the plot and much later into the plot.

It should be included but then we wouldnt be surprised when Zira comes to take Kovu back home

Still don’t understand the timeline of Scar having kids and marrying, or the fact that no one acknowledges in the film that they’re technically family: Zora being Simba’s aunt and all…but I guess that’s why they made Koby adopted. That’d be too awkward. Yet that’s it. No one knows this in the film aside from Kiara in the two seconds Kovu mentioned it
