you speak spanish supper well, but as usual, western people don't even try with accents and it kind of sucks, at least you can communicate good though

You speak Spanish very well -- although with an accent, why did you make this video in two languages? Who do you think your audience is? I find the two languages to be distracting.

That sounds a strange sentence in Spanish. I mean, I cannot find a regular situation where I would use it that way. It has no grammar errors, but it's matter of usage. I would say something like: Las manos están heridas, o lastimadas, pero no cortadas. "Las manos están cortadas" has the idea of "amputated hands"
@CommonGroundInternational
@CommonGroundInternational 3 ай бұрын
Hi Liza! Mexican native here, we might use "cortada" for example with paper or scissor cuts. "Me corté la mano con el papel", "me corté con las tijeras" and that would actually be a common way to say it, at least here in Mexico :)

one thing if I could add, if I understand, is this all seems to rely on the patient articulately expressing themselves and or that they feel able and wish to understand the question and answer: what if they find it all _demasiado_ and/or have trust/privacy issues?
@CommonGroundInternational
@CommonGroundInternational 3 ай бұрын
Good question and insight... building trust and rapport with your Spanish speaking patients is certainly facilitated by connecting with them directly in Spanish... but you'll also need to rely on established best practices for clinical encounters in your field to work through overwhelm and trust.
