When adjusting the pressure, does anything on the screen give you a number of what pressure you are using?

No. This is by feel and experience.

Also prints fail halfway through. also does anyone know what the original marlin version that came with the printer from factory??

I am curious, why not use canvas? And it looks like bad news for the Bambu printer only one on the table now.
@rogersshop2 күн бұрын
Two drawbacks to canvas- Too heavy and since most canvas is cotton or nylon, it does not take sublimation dye. As for the Bambu, it had to be sent back for a replacement. New one on the way.

I have this system as well. I agree that some of the stuff on Banggood is junk, but this one is a gem. Well built and well priced. It is a shameless ripoff of a Woodpeckers product so you have to be ok with that. I like Woodpeckers products and own a few, but these knockoff products are a direct result of their greed so I really can’t feel sorry for them.

That would not work in this case as the black is etched into the glass during the process.

Well, the problem is 14 gauge. 12 or 10 is best.
@rogersshop8 күн бұрын
While a larger gauge wire is better, it would not have prevented this.
@NiNjaTurtLe6976 күн бұрын
@rogersshop really? So what exactly do you say the problem was here? It definitely depends on the load and size wire right? It sounds like this was a really long cable considering there were 2 connected, and, also buried. Burying this cable doesn't cause this problem, unless exposed to extreme heat...but it is definitely worse when it is buried since the odds of it happening to this type of cable are high and there can be catastrophic results like shown. Using a heavier gauge wire prevents this? Unless of course the cable is damaged or defective.
@rogersshop6 күн бұрын
@@NiNjaTurtLe697 In a case like this, wire size makes zero difference and there can be zero load. If there is voltage present and moisture present, the conductivity of the moisture will make a path between the two blades and eventually melt down and/or cause a dead short or a break. On a long run, the high impedance of the wire will allow this meltdown without tripping a breaker or blowing a fuse. Although it would trip a GFCI receptacle or breaker. Keep in mind you are talking to a master electrician with 45 years of experience. I've seen way bigger meltdowns than this.
@NiNjaTurtLe6976 күн бұрын
@@rogersshop I respect it. It just sounds fishy. A 14 gauge extension cord run underground (meaning a long run) to power an air conditioning unit seems like asking for trouble. So.... All of a sudden it stopped working and had a catastrophic failure after the air conditioning unit was installed... Yeah, and I understand the problem with moisture and voltage of course. I wouldn't dare run an air conditioning unit on a 14 gauge wire but not a lot of people know that. Now obviously it depends on how far but I'd still rather 12 or 10 even. Thanks for insight 🙂

I also read on the Longer website that the Ruby Pulsed Infrared Laser Module is also compatible with the Longer Ray5 series, which could be a great add-on in the future so I can do both wood and metal projects. You have a great channel that provides some much information for beginners and more knowledgeable laser engravers. Also thanks for sharing information about the Louisiana Hobby Guy. Hey Roger. My longer has started acting weird. As it goes left to right, it won’t burn in the middle of the project. Like, the laser stops working in the middle of the platform. I recall not getting very good direct customer service with longer initially so I thought I’d ask if you knew what this was caused from and how to fix.
@rogersshop12 күн бұрын
Does this happen on every project, or just a certain one? Longer's customer service is usually pretty good. Just don't expect an immediate reply due to time zone differences and it may be 24 hours before you get a reply. However, sending an email at 2:00 AM US time may get you an immediate reply since that is during the day in China!

I am not a "printer expert", by any means and not familiar with that model, although the inner workings may be similar,, the head is not. If internal damper tanks are full (in addition to the regular ink tanks), then it may be the print head.
