I think this smoke would only ever work when both omen is ready to smoke and sova ready to play around it. Either 1, they had rehearsed this in their own training or 2, Sova made the call for the smoke rather than omen just sending it there.

Yeah that can happen. I get killed a lot trying to be fancy 😂. Blood Hounds fan is a noob weapon for a reason it does a lot of DMG. If you try to punish it's ash and miss you get wrecked. The best ways I'd say to beat it is parry but a neutral jump attack can definitely work if a parry isn't possible.

I almost never lock on. It's one of the things that separates good good from casual good. You can move in ways your opponent can't if you play unlocked.

just practice non lock on pvp. It's actually pretty fun. also just switch your weapon you got the worst moveset possible for non lock on (also shield poke cringe)
