Thanks for the video! Leeland Chee, who manages Lucas Licensing's 'Holocron Continuity Database' said there were a lot of various pointy-eared humanoids in Star Wars comics over the years. The only species named were the Sephi, originally from the planet Thustra. Chee says that he is now retconning all of these humanoids with pointed ears to be Sephi, or closely related to the Sephi species.

Technically you would need Knave 2E because Star Knave does not explain the basic rules for character creation, combat, how gear slots work etc. It just adapts the rules for space opera.

Bought it today and read it, definitely going to run it soon. Question: If you would add a quest to acquire some proper chothing and deliver them to Raliana, how much XP would be ok ;) In a really good way, this game is giving me an old school RPG videogames feeling. A lot of encounters, and I'm sure it was the purpose of this game. Shadowdark handles this really well I believe.

Of course. Created with Leonardo.AI, using the Phoenix preset (because it does text well), style set to Dynamic and prompt enhance on Auto the following prompt was used: A majestic star wars artwork featuring a heavy blaster pistol with an intricate, elven design aesthetic, boasting a masterfully crafted wooden grip adorned with delicate, swirling patterns that evoke a sense of ancient wisdom, paired with a sleek, silver barrel that proudly displays the elegant, cursive script of "Shanavar" engraved along its length, set against a muted, neutral background that subtly gradates from light to dark, evoking a sense of depth and mystery, with the overall piece exuding a sense of refinement, luxury, and otherworldly craftsmanship.

I get most of what you do, but I don't know what the event die does. I've watched the first two videos, and skimmed through the rest for time constraints, but I have not seen an explanation on what it does. Could someone point me in the right direction? Is it like the MUNE intervention system? I always found that a bit hard to get inspired by.
@Solospelunking13 күн бұрын
Hi, the event die is there to inject random events into the game to simulate that the world around the character is not only revolving around the PC. You just roll the event die with your oracle. When the event die shows a 1 you generate and inject a random event into the story. If it shows any other result you just disregard it.
@JaxiPaxified13 күн бұрын
@@Solospelunking Thank you for the answer! I managed to get that far, I was just wondering if there was a specific method to generate an event, or if it's just using the word generator to get inspired. I find that I need some more structure to not get overwhelmed by decisions.
@Solospelunking13 күн бұрын
@JaxiPaxified The intention is to use the word generator but you could easily plug in a fitting random event table and roll on that whenever a 1 comes up if you want a more structured approach or disregard that mechanic alltogether. Whatever works for you.

I have removed a lot of Heroclix bases, and I usually use a pair of pliers with a thin ”sharp” edge. Because some of them have crazy hard glue. But I have also ruined a few so be careful and if the small base (attached to the mini and glued to the ”clicker”) starts to warp, then it’s safer to destroy the clicker part and cutting around the small base, and then dealing with the leftovers by cutting with a hobby knife or something. But if you’re lucky it’ll just pop off, some you can just wiggle off by hand. Good luck!
