We had one, horrible service at the Pontiac dealer in CT, when it wouldn't start I had to open to hood, remove the air filter, and prop open the butterfly valve till my mom was able to get it running. I was about 16. Dealer recommendation!

I’ve got the opposite a 2002 Z06 that’s a race car with 115,000 miles, The car is 650 HP LS2 402 cubic inch monster, built to be a road race car. Not much can touch it on the street unless they have a $200K supercar. I’ve got about $30K in it. I beat it like a redheaded stepchild and it still performs like a beast. You’re not going to beat a C5 Z06 for the money.

what do you expect, it's on BAT the literally scam surplus site for auto sales. Lets be real honest here, it's an 01 Z06 which is one of the least sought after years, LS1, same clutch from standard model, non widebody, etc. 11k miles (supposedly) since you'd have to check both serials on the dash and on the control unit for tampering which is standard in motor swaps / replacements. it's a 50/50 on mileage being real for anything older than 2006 / 2008 depending on the engine. Is it worth 33k? God no, not even close. Some idiot will buy it I'm sure thinking they got some great deal and then realize they just paid 33k for a 18-20k car and now have to deal with a 13k loss. The corvette market is tanking heavily right now so that's why you see so many cars popping up. Everyone is on the C8 train and C6/C7s are dropping in price like mad.

@@thereal-ghostYou’re right and wrong, this Z06 isn’t worth $33K it’s very low milage so $25K isn’t unreasonable, it’s not a stock stingray. Also the Corvette market isn’t tanking for Z06’s and ZR1’s they are going up in value Chief.

@@craigthescott5074 I think you're misrepresenting the context. the corvette market is in fact tanking , that's just a fact based on numbers and the last 6 months of sales vs 2023. The only model that is appreciating is the ZR1 models in specific years for C7 / C6 / C4, the C5 is dropping due to lack of interest which isn't going to last since it happened with the C4 and then the C4 took off in '23. I get you might be basing your opinion on "feeling" but it's just not the case currently. Will we see an uptick in 2025 after we get through the current used sales push, hopefully. It's not just used corvettes experiencing the drop, mustang has dropped 15% over all in '24 along with challengers '22 and older. ZL1s are surging along with 23/24 challengers due to the removal of the models and switching to EV. I respect your feeling of how things are, I get those gut feelings too with things, but numbers don't lie and data is king when analyzing market flow.

@@thereal-ghost Well i live in a major southwest city and the prices of Z06’s especially the C6 and C7 have increased here. So the fact that the newer ones are extremely expensive has brought up the value of the older ones. Also I don’t factor in high mileage shit box cars. Only low milage high option excellent condition ones.

I work at the national level with auto sales, auctions, state registrations so we deal with a ton of data for all the market areas combined. my original comment was only going on market value low mileage data. mid/high mileage was not part of that. I hope you find something in the local area for sure regardless. Good luck out there.

Beautiful example! I have a Mercury Sable LS wagon given to me to a family member that is similarly equipped but it's missing a few options this Taurus has like leather seats, the rear wiper, and it only has the driver side power seat. But because it's a Sable it has the digital instrument cluster on it. Also because it's a Sable you still had the option of either the 3.0 (which is what my Sable has) or 3.8 on the LS wagon unlike the Taurus LX wagon which you only got the 3.8 like this wagon in the video has. I hope to find an 86 LX Taurus wagon in red someday.
