It's VERY important that you don't trial and error the power inputs - OVER voltage can release the magic smoke very quickly (though a couple of volt is probably fine the closest voltage you'd find above 12 would probably be 18 or 20, and that's probably a lot too much)! And under-volt can damage the hardware in different ways (though this is less likely; it probably just wont power on, or will have odd behaviors) Great catch on the button brightness! I had the exact same issue - good to know there's an easy fix!

I have a BM studio camera 4K. Do you know which ATEM model can record in 4K. Currently I use ATEM Mini ISO but cannot receive 4K signals from the 4K camera.

I don't know if this counts as a tip. More like a trick. I bought an ATEM Mini extreme ISO SDI last year as an upgrade (sort of) from my old ATEM 1 m/e 4k switcher. I built a 3 RU fly pack case complete with a sliding draw for the Extreme, a Hyperdeck mini, a Multiview 4, and Webpresenter HD. I went with the SDI version because my cameras have always used SDI. Of course a real control panel was a big draw. I also liked the fact that the SDI version has 4 outputs and frame sync on all inputs. However, I wanted the capability of working with HDMI inputs and outputs built into the rig. So I bought and added a couple of Blackmagic Bidirectional SDI/HDMI converters and connected them to the ATEM Extreme. Each unit can convert SDI to HDMI and HDMI to SDI simultaneously and separately. Long story short, the rig now gives me 6 SDI inputs, 2 HDMI inputs, 2 SDI Outputs and 2 HDMI outputs. This has made the rig so much more flexible as I can easily work with HDMI devices like monitors and computers.

Just a small tip. In a world of shorts bro get to the point. It will make your retention rate higher.

Webcam out never populated in software control for myself nor in Mix Effect,. I was not the only one having this problem and it could leave users to gaslight themselves into thinking this mini pro does not have access to these features. If anyone is having this problem just leave it be until a fix is pushed out

The new usb output can not only be the multi view. It can be program, preview, ssrc, clean, any input. It could be excellent for streaming content with graphics when hdmi shows clean or the opposite, maybe converting the usb to another HDMI to have 3 different outputs

I assume you can only use the USB-C for one type of output, so in our case we use the USB-C for recording to an external drive, so I assume we cannot use for the monitor view as well.

Hi Steph. Nice explination. Thanks. I am concern by loosing the multicam/audio visio recording funktion by Using The usb C port for the new multiview solution. So do you you know if is any work around for record iso filés at same time.? You Said that is only by using the HDMI output for recordings. But this Will only record the final program. I using the nice separate file recording so i can correct misstakes after a session. Best regards Thomas from BMS webb TV.

Hey Steph I have 2 quick questions. Are you using a USB C to USB C cable to connect your Mac to the ATEM MINI PRO Extreme & if so where would you plug your SSD hard drive since the USB C port is being used by your MacBook?

Does this update mean the four hdmi inputs can be output through one usb-C port and show up as separate sources in a live-streaming client like Ecamm? I want to see the separate sources and switch between them in Ecamm, not using the ATEM to switch cams.
