I met Mario on the starting grid at Laguna Seca, was standing next to his car just before the race he walks up and introduces himself. Graciously allows me to sit on the right front tire him standing for pictures. The nicest fellow truly one of the greatest drivers in all motor sports.

In 2016, I made my pilgrimage to the indy 500. I saw johncock's wildcat in the museum and was surprised at how small it was.

The broadcast was directed by LARRY KAMM and ROGER GOODMAN. One of those two was at the helm for the white flag debacle.

Those were the days... 900 HP turbocharged cars, no goofy windshield. Now Gil is gone, and even California Speedway is being torn down.

I don't think it's a pass if you have to go off-track to get by your competitor. Maybe that's why "the pass" is always in quotations. 🤔

I miss the CART series. As an F1 fan since 1993 and having started watching CART in 96, CART was the better product and arguably had a better depth of drivers towards the end of the century. I remember the Fontana 99 race vividly and losing Greg so young was terrible. I always think of him every 31st October. He was destined for huge success..

I was at this race. Cold 🥶 as hell! 37 degrees at race time. Had on most of the clothes I had with me. Ironically, I had a #3 Valvoline T-shirt under it all.

They stole that race from Scott Goodyear. But what do you expect from USUC I mean USAC Had problems with that pace car all day..on that final restart it was never up to speed.
