The viaduct will still be there in another 100 years or so I bet the bridge made of concrete won't.

I watched a video of the 1901 colliery disaster and used NLS OS maps to see the extent of the collieries and the large railway used to service the quarry. It's amazing how little is left.

Are "they" going to extract money from TATA to clean this place up, when it shuts down?

Wow! the plat is HUGE, what an earth are they going to do with such a vast amount of (polluted?) land when this plant shuts down? (don't think people would want to live on it? and I don't believe any business would want it) I did not know it was several miles by several miles big? looks as big a S. Wales? good vid captures the size of it?
@chrisandteresabartley4382 ай бұрын
Most of the plant in the video is continuing to operate, but the first flight video shows some of the areas that will go with the change to electric arc furnaces. The equivalent at Llanwern steelworks was cleared and has at least half has been built on, both housing and industrial use, but it took a few years before any building started, and another 20 years to get to the current state.

That was amazing video. You got really close to the castle and church to get a great view of the building. I was based in Marazion last year working on a film. I was able to walk over to the causeway but the castle was closed for viewing.
