In my opinion, time is the creative activity of God.

No matter what he means by Dasein, Nazis are not profound and obviously Heidegger was always on board with Nazi Germany.

So what you're saying is, the kids that took notes and wrote everything down still didn't understand their own notes? Did they read the notes? We're they accurate? Seems to me if you had what amounts to a transcription and you could go over that you would have the jist of what was said. I'm confused as usual by things I see in college.

I'm 59 and I'm still going to school. I'm extremely motivated to succeed. I have excellent note taking skills and a great GPA. I don't have a problem with schoolwork I enjoy it. I get anxious and i worry about keeping all of my A's when I have problems with the LMS or the teacher isn't responsive or reactive to issues with test questions or problems with the material. Even the most confident and successful student can get stressed out trying to take some of these classes online. I do amazing in on-campus classes. I tend to get stressed out and anxious using LMS because they're just not as reliable and prepared and functional as I need them to be for me to be the best student I can be. If the LMS is having a problem or you have a slow internet connection it can hurt your grade. Being an online student is in some ways more difficult and stressful than attending on campus no matter how bad or good a student you are.

Excellent review of the meta-research and how to use data in the classroom. Visible learning is a rough guide to focusing on success strategies. The execution is the key and is essentially based on high-level skills by the teacher. The visible learning is not able to give this level of skill independent of teachers' knowledge, experience, and skill. It is a great fallacy to think that intelligence and skill can be given by a statistical rubric. Learning in a box does not work but visible learning is a great research tool.

Randy was my teacher in 1988. I was terrified to speak, yet needed the Public Speaking class to graduate. He got me through the class. I now am a Professional Speaker and have spoken around the world. The confidence and tools he taught me, that are explained in detail in the book, have made the difference in my life and the lives of those who have heard me speak. Great book. Learn and implement the gifts he shares within it.

I needed this book 20 years ago! QA Testing had it´s own rarity to get people in & test with obscure requisites & in 2023, the last application alone had almost 600 applicants on LinkedIn. Are things getting better or worse. I am almost 39 & never given a single chance no matter how much I tried but no mentor, no experience offered, no course or support - NO CHANCE! Thank you so much for this book Anna. Nothing would please me more than to shake your hand one day & congrats on Fable.

Very clear and pithy explanation of Dasein. Regarding Heidegger's point about what distinguishes us from other animals, it is his contention that we are the beings that question Being. Why is there anything at all and not nothing? Perhaps my pet cat or dog thinks the same thing, but they don't seem to have articulated it! Thank you.
